#6 I'm Back!
Saturday, January 20, 2007

Well I haven't really been here for the past week and I really missed talking to you guys. The reason I've been absent is partially because of school (ick ) and partially because on Tuesday, the World of Warcraft expantion (The Burning Crusade) was released. I didn't do a blog last week and I'm not sure if I'll be getting around to a blog every week simply because intering stuff doesn't always happen. Anyway here's all the notable stuff that has happened to me recently...

1. I descovered that our English teacher is the devil. She gave us an English/History project that is due on the 30th that is supposed to be based on "Everyday life in New France", but that's all she told us! Apparently she wants us to be more independant but none of us have any idea what we're supposed to be doing. That just kinda pissed me off.

2. I got the Firefly soundtrack!!! I am very excited about this one, I've listened to it about 50 times already it's just so amazing. I actually saw it while at HMV with my friend Signy and realized I had no money, I almost screamed but then she just suggested I hide it, and hide it I did. When I finally gathered the $30.00 I ran to pick it up. *does happy dance while listening to "River's Dance" off her soundtrack*

3. I was bored one day in class last week and started writing the sixth chapter of my fic (I'll have numbers 3, 4 and 5 up as soon as they're beta'd). I got REALLY into it and I'm telling you guys, it's a doosey. It's been a while since I posted the first 2 so I'll probably repost them. Keep in mind that I will be renaming the chapter "Captainy Things" because I've decided that that name is more fiitting for the third chapter, though I do not know yet what it should be called. Anybody who's read it is welcome to suggest a name.

4. I think my mom might think I'm a lesbian. I'm not against it in any way so don't get me wrong it's just that, y'know, I'm not. So that's kind of an awkward situation that I have no idea how to deal with.

5. In my last blog I said I'd explain more about the Luke situation so it goes something like this: Luke is a guy I've known for a long time because he went to my school. We didn't really start talking until I started hanging out with Rhys (few years ago) because he and Rhys are very good friends. Since we graduated Grade 6 we all had to move schools, most of my friends all went to the same school, Luke however went somewhere else. That somewhere else happens to be the school that my dad is VP of. All the teachers there are very close to my family (or family itself). Now my bass lessons tie in with all of this. The french teacher is something that never worked out at that school until this year. The new French teacher is a very cool guy who happens to play both guitar and bass. Basically, every Tuesday me and a couple of other kids from that school have lessons with him which is how I've been starting to hang out with Luke more.

6. The bass lessons have run into issues. Basically some of the kids I practice with annoy the hell out of the teacher so he's called it off. We've arranged some private lessons though since I don't annoy the hell out of him and he thinks I actually have alot of talent (which makes me extremely proud of myself).

On an ending note, I just got off the phone with Rhys and Luke who are at Luke's house and god those guys are hilarious! Rhys almost got shot in the eye by Luke's BB Gun in the middle of our conversation. We just joked around and stuff and discovered a song called "Now You're A Man" by DVDA (a term you should not look up if you value your sanity), that song is ruttin' hilarious! So we laughed our asses off for about 3 hours and eventually hung up because I was tired (I'm going to bed right after this). I'm not sure why this last bit is relevant but I thought I'd share because it's fresh in my mind.
