A Road to picture, now with Browncoats.

Road to D* Con
Body:
Allright, listen up. I've made the decision to drive to Dragon Con rather than fly. I figure that since there's gonna be the need to move equipment, why not just drive it with us. I am completely serious about this. Anyone interested in traveling, meeting, or joining the caravan can reach me here. I'm looking into particulars such as length of travel, gas, times and dates, and how big of a van I can reserve.

For me the trip is basically from Reno to Atlanta. A side track or two of a few hundred miles is not out of the question for any committed Browncoat.

End Bulletin

So here's the idea. I wanna drive across the United States to D*CON and meet, if not pickup a few interested Browncoats. I figure a few will have to fly back home for work or will have to fly to Atlanta and might want a leisurely ride home. Though I will be departing from Reno, Nevada, a few two hour detours can't hurt a whole lot.

So here's my reasoning behind the whole idea. I have not been out on the road for over a decade. Sure I've flown back east a few times, but the experience is always much more worth while when done from the ground. There is opportunity to meet new people (and a few from FFF.NET where I post regularly) on a trip I've only dreamed of. I have a video camera. For some odd reason I feel the need to capture the kinship of the folks I'm hopin' to meet. Lastly, I need to get away. I can't exactly run away forever, but I can go my own way. I've felt the need to sail off into the black. Not neccessarily never to come back, but more to be and do and be myself outside of home and work and family. That is a feeling I have not known for a very long while.

If there is anyone who feels a bit of the same and wishes to sail off, even if only for half the trip, contact me. I'm sure there are plenty of groups and caravans headed in the same direction and it would be great to see who or what we could run into.

Aimin' to misbehave
