I have seen several videos (mostly on MySpace) that are clips from Firefly (or other shows) set to music (for example, there is one of River kicking ass to the tune of 'Dance, Dance' by FallOut Boy). I want to know how to make these, as I have several good ideas I get in my head when I hear certain songs. Does anyone know how this is done / what software I need to do it ???

In fic news, I still haven't written anything. I have some sort of block, and hopefully I will be able to work it out soon.

Honestly, I make videos and I know this is wicked old, but I just saw it so it counts as new...

Anyhoo, it takes software to edit the clips into a cohesive piece, also software to get the clips from your original source (dvds) so they are usable on your computer. Don't know if you've had anymore luck with this, but let me know if you want some help. I've got some of the videos I've done on the internet.

I would presume you would need video editing software, a copy of the video you wanna splice together and the music to play as the narrative;)

It's a lot more complex than that...but I am not really anything but a voyeur of fanvids;D
