Faux Persephone
Saturday, August 12, 2006

What a great morning I had! I woke up early and headed down to Kerry Town for the Farmers Market! Even though I have lived in A2 for 8 years, I have never been, primiarily because up untill recently I worked 3rd shift and would never dream of getting up a 9am to go look at tomatoes and flowers! Anyways, it was my first time there and it was awesome! Walking through the crowds of people and vendors, it reminded me strongly of Persephone. It was really nice and I had a smile on my face the whole time! I even bought some homemade bread and jam from an amish man who seemed rather put out that I was speaking directly to him. The bread and jam is great by the way, and if you're ever in A2 on a Saturday morning, I highly reccomend it!

All my love,

Capture

I love Farmer's Markets! I am surprised I have never looked at it like that before. Shows how much I pay attention. Well I will now thanks to you. Here in Alaska, the vegetables are enormous!!

Almost perfect spelling there, Capture. It's "Persephone," after the Greek goddes of the underworld, daughter of Demeter (Greek goddess of the harvest);)
