MSN had a story on the home page of their web site today about "Irritating Habits of Happy Couples." The title of this article is "Lamby-kins."

I was thinking, "Shouldn't that be Lamby-toes?"

In my office, the copier had a sign that read "Out of Order" so I got on the phone with the technician who who was able to tell me how someone had messed with it and correct the problem. Since then, everyone's been calling me the miracle worker - amazing what resuscitating a copier can do for your mortal status.

Just now, one of my co-worker's said, "She fixed it!"

I thought to myself, "Wasn't really broke."

At the MarsCon Convention Committee meeting, our new Commander in Chief/Head Feline Herder asked us to introduce ourselves for the benefit of our new Publications Chair. He also asked us to name the most recent DVD or VHS we had seen. At the end of the introductions, I was pleased to hear him announce, "Firefly wins this round."

My response: Browncoats RULE!

I was watching Star Wars IV: A New Hope again last night, seeing what sort of perceptions I pick up now, having seen the first three episodes

Just before the big Death Star battle, Artoo is being lowered into Luke's X-wing. I believe Luke asks the little droid if everything is okay.

Now, anyone who has watched Star Wars enough times can start to pick up on Artoo's syntax. Like, being able to tell when he says Luke's name, asks questions and such. It's just something that happens to "sweeks" (Star Wars Geeks) over the course of time. Although I've met someone who does a great imitation of Chewbacca, I haven't heard any of them speak in "Droid." Then again, I'm not as completely immersed in "sweek-dom" as some either.

So, I may be delusional - because this was kind of late and I'd been breathing pastel dust and workable fixative fumes by this point - but the sounds Artoo made in response sounded like a very Kaylee-like, although rhythmic, "Shiny, A-okay."

G'head - call me crazy.

QUICKSAND

You know what's a really annoying habit of happy couples?

Having sex on copy machines.

Just wanted to bring that full circle. *innocent whistle*

And no, I don't work in your office. That you know of.
