A new way to appreciate FF
Saturday, February 11, 2006

So, in listening to the fireflytalk podcast, I thought it would be interesting experiment to listen to the episodes. Some scenes I've seen so many times I can tell you how the person's head is positioned from one moment to the next...so listening to them actually gave me a new appreciation for FF. I 'felt' them like I did the first time I watched them. In particular, the end of Safe. Hearing the emotion in the voices gave it another depth for me. Sometimes, I think we are too distracted by visuals...don't get me wrong I love my visuals, but it was really cool and interesting to do this.

I captured the audio of all of the episodes and the movie, placed them on a single CD (my car stereo supports MP3) and listen to them as I commute to/from work. All of a sudden commuting isn't so stressful!

Nathan has the most beautiful voice.
Makes me wish other people would keep
quiet while he's talking.
I actually liked his voice a lot before
figuring out I like the Captain too.
Kinda all goes together there.

I agree! Try listening to Nathan's voice in Out of Gas or the end of Heart of Gold..what an actor.I happened to be working on the computer and my brother was watching out of gas in the living room... "Everyone die's alone.."..what a delivery...
