A thank you to the original Browncoats
Saturday, November 12, 2005

I just want to thank Joss Whedon and especially all the original Browncoats that started the whole Browncoat fanbase in the beginning. I came to the game a bit late. Serenity already had a release date of Sept 30th and SciFi was running Firefly episodes with movie previews. I'd only caught two episodes when the series originally aired on "EXCREMENT DELETED NETWORK" and at the time I just didn't get it. When SciFi started airing the show in the proper sequence I immediately "fell in love" with the show. I then went and bought the DVD set and went from being "in love" to having an all out psychotic obsession with it. I've seen the movie 6 times so far, the latest being last night and I'll probably try to catch it one more time this week before it's finally gone from the area. This hopefully will keep me going until the DVD ships on Dec 20th. I'm definitely a Browncoat now but I feel I owe a big thanks to the ones that got it all going and kept it all going so long. I don't think we would have the BDM if it weren't for all of them.
God Bless and keep flyin!

I agree with JayTee, while I have loved Firefly from the beginning I want to thank those who made Serenity a reality, thanks to the true Browncoats.
