JUSTSERENITY

I've heard of this site and have seen it. My advice don't let these losers keep you from doing what you love, it is true you should check grammer and proof read more then once, but dont quit just because people who obviously have no lives ruin it for you.

How about revising it and or ask for a beta reader? make it better and repost (if havent allready took it down).

Angelic, i'd really like to defend you, but their criticisms seem to be right on the money. If you 'love writing' so much, why can't you be bothered to proofread something for grammar and structure errors before posting it?

As someone who used to make MSTs of bad fanfics, I can say yours is nowhere NEAR as bad as most, but it's still painful to read in places.

the lesson you should learn from this is: If you don't want people ripping apart your fanfiction, don't post it on the internet where anyone can see or copy it.

P.S. I was a bad fanfic writer too. FanFiction.net sucks and they will do nothing to help you.

Here are the questions: Do you like to write? Does it make you happy and/or fufill some particular need? Do you like the 'verse you've created?

If the anserwers to the above warrant a yes, then the next query is:

Are you going to let some grammar nazis take all that away from you?

Angelic Angel, I read your fanfic and liked it. Could it use some cleaning up? Yes, but everyone's work can. That's why professional writers have editors. People like us, here on the raggedy (sp?) edge of literature cannot afford such niceties, so we do what we can. Personally my grammar sux, always has, always will despite my proofreading efforts. Still I write when the mood takes me and force it upon an unexpecting world.

Don't let the comments of some full time trolls stop you. Don't stop posting on ff.net, why limit your potential audience. Don't stop writing, why let them win. Don't write to that sites moderator. As henious as the trolls commments were, they only took small quotes from your piece and that's legit when writing commentary.

Do keep on writing, remember its about satisfying your need to create. Do see if you can find some of your detractors work on line (dollars to donuts it's not the great American Fan-Fic). Lastly, do take your time. The only good writing is rewriting. Enjoy the process.

I look forward to seeing your next entry.

RELFEXIVE

I really wouldn't worry about it. They're just showing their oh-so-great intelligence by picking your story apart, rather than stealing it. Clearly that's the extent of their own creativity.

You can't please everyone. And do we really want to please those people?

Not particuarly, no.
