I ordered Finding Serenity via the link conveniently placed on the left column of the home page (support fff.net!) on Saturday. I received the damned thing yesterday. And that's with the slower, free shipping. Amazon.com ROCKS.


Finding Serenity is excellent. It provides both critical analysis of the show (not critical in the sense that it tears Firefly to shreds; instead, various essays analyze the show from the fields of psychology, history, feminism, etc.) as well as background info about the show creation and cancellation. Highly recommended. Once again, if you plan on buying it, please use the link at the left of the homepage.

I ordered it last Saturday (same day as you, coincidentally enough) and I used Standard shipping. It arrived on Tuesday. I was shocked! (I also ordered the Angel soundtrack CD, but that's neither here nor there).

I loved it, too. Made me think about a lot of things and, in my mind, gave me a lot to think about for future fanfic. One of my favorite parts was the Jewel Stait essay.
