Dear Lady Sophia,

Last night we got word of the place the deal for the package was going down. It’s some deserted town down planet-side. Raf thinks it may be a set-up of sorts, trying to get us down there defenseless. But the rest of the crew is intent on going down. I’m taking Raf, Flora, Franz, and Joel. Well, not much else to say. Rein cooked up a mighty good meal this morning. I’m gonna cut over to the log-recorder planet-side.

“Well, looks pretty deserted to me,” Franz said, shuffling his feet around in the dirt.

“It’s almost nightfall. I want to get to the meeting place with no trouble and just get this over with. So all of you keep your traps shut, and just in case Raf is right…well, have your guns at the ready. Everyone shiny? Okay, let’s go,” I led the crew down a dirt road that led into town.

“Wow, it’s getting kinda creepy, you know? The wind’s blowing through the grass. I think I just heard something growling,” Raf began complaining. As you know, he does that all the time.

“Bi zuie,” Joel said.

“Chu ni duh, you shut up. This is getting really freaky,” Raf wouldn’t shut up. We had reached the town. There were lights on in a few of the houses. “This place doesn’t look deserted Franz. Cap, I think this is a trap.”

“Shut the fuck up,” Joel said sternly.

“You know what, I think we should go back right now,” Raf was jittering.

“You know what else? No one cares what you think. If you don’t want to be here, walk back to the ship!” Franz spoke up in defense of the information he had found for the pick-up.

“Shut the fuck up,” Joel moaned under his breath.

“Negative. No one’s going back to the ship,” I said.

“You know what Franz, you’re crazy. You drag us into a ‘deserted’ town that has houses with lights in their windows and then say this isn’t a trap?!” Raf was shouting.

“Gwon nee ju jee du shu, I am working off of information that was given to me! I can’t control whether people lie to me or not!” Franz walked ahead, ending the conversation with Raf.

“Fei hua, bullshit, bullshit! You’re probably trying to get the whole damned crew killed! Gorram traitor!” Raf shouted after Franz.

Joel turned around and picked up Raf by the collar of his shirt. “Shut the fuck up!” Joel yelled in his face.

I turned around and smashed the back of my gun into Joel’s back. He quickly dropped Raf. “All of you shut the fuck up! Ye Soo, I told you all to keep your traps shut! With this behavior I don’t think I’m going to be paying any of you. Flora here is the only one that will get her box! The rest of you will get to sit in your corridors and think about what you’ve done, unless…all of you shut up!” I turned back and continued walking. They all stopped talking except for a grunt Raf made to Joel.

“Cap, are you sure we shouldn’t turn back? This town seems less and less deserted every minute,” Raf complained again.

“Franz, how secure is your information? I’m beginning to think this little hwoon dahn is right,” I said pausing and turning around to the rest of the group.

“I don’t know it was nearly anonymous. I figured it was just the guy we were working for,” Franz said quietly, thinking.

“Wow, really smart. Look, we got a genius here! Just accepts anonymous information and thinks it might not be a trap! Really smart Franz!” Raf threw his hands up and sat on the ground as Joel turned around.

“You know what Raf, you can shut the fuck up!” Joel shouted pointing a finger at him.

“Wow, really, none of you are helping at all!” Franz yelled at the both of them.

“You’re the one trying to get us all killed. I’m not trying to get us killed. Shut the fuck, you shut up, liar, shut the, Jesus! You gorram f-you-fwerg-esg-…” the recorder got fuzzy here with all their shouting.

“All right, everyone sit there asses on the dirt and shut their mouths!” I turned around and they all sat there with their guns in their laps. “Flora, you can get up. Thank you for following orders like a good crew member. Raf, don’t you make faces at her! I think now Flora should get all the boxes and all of you should be grounded to the ship for months! I know I’m not your daddy, and I don’t want to be. But if you can’t keep your mouths shut I’m gonna have to be. So please, can all of you keep quiet and let me talk to Franz about how close we are?” I stopped there and let Franz speak. He got up, then sat down and kinda wiggled for a moment. I stopped him by putting up a hand and he sat down.

“Uhh, we should be really close,” he said looking at a digital map in his hand. “Just up there…”

Well, I’m gonna leave it there. I’m getting tired and should be heading to bed. I’ll finish touching up the recordings when I get up in the morning. See ya.

SYMON

As you can see, he was the adventure type. He also had this voice recorder he took with him everywhere. He'd hook it up to a computer and it would convert the sound to text. Then he'd go in and put in his discriptions. He gave it to me a couple years ago. I was just trying to show you how it may be if you stick around with me. I'm not sure if i'm gonna put the other half of that in though...
