I've gone out on a limb.
As a result of showing up at a Firefly meetup a month ago, I ran into an old friend. She's started a biz.
So now I've done work, even put some of my creations on consignment with her. It seems to be working, it seems to be genuine. Today I just got paid for doing that ideal form of work, and I cant quit thinking this is terribly good. It just made my favorite hobby-jobby much more valuable. I need to get my machines tuned up. I see that I could become a comfortably funded artist.
In truth, I'm terrified.

...and more, I have a friend at my fabric store haven. I found out she likes a lot of anime, she knows about firefly but never watched it. She swears she is going to rent it.
I'm patient, I'm waiting. :)
