I finally settle myself down to post for Zoe, and now I have a question. I think we might have a timing discontinuity. I'd thought that Inara and Thorne were about 2.5 hours ahead of everyone else's time - meaning that they wouldn't have begun their tryst yet at the time that River screams. If that's so, there's no reason why Inara couldn't still rush to River at her scream, but it would mean that the reflection that was interrupted hadn't occurred yet. Did I misunderstand that?

To change the color of word(s), use the following format:

*note that i put spaces in before and at the end of the code don't really put thoes in*

You should replace hexadecimal color code with a hexadecimal color code that corresponds to the color that you want. For a list of some color codes that you can use, look at this chart thingy.

Home again, home again, jiggity jig.

Must catch up, but from an initial scan it looks like nobody took me up on my offer to make Rowan available for posting. I'll try to get something up in the next couple of days.

Dad is still in the VA hospital last I knew of. He may be getting discharged today, or starting cardiac rehab - jury's still out. The main reason for the confusion is that we weren't with him when the doctors talked about what would be happening on Wednesday (that's today, right? ) so we're not sure if they actually told him he could get out today, or if they told him he'd start rehab and in Dad's state of mind, he reinterpreted that to mean "getting out Wednesday."

*sigh* oh. the fun.

EDIT: Update. Dad is stuck in the hospital at least one more night. Means Mom can get one more restful night before she takes him home and becomes his very own home health care nurse. She was an RN for most of my life, so she knows more about how to do that than most folks should. Still...

Dad Update: He's on an IV antibiotic due to some drainage from the incision, and last I heard he was going to have a cardiac echo done. I'm not sure what that means, or if it's standard procedure. Regardless, he's in for another night at the VA.

capn ... as posted in the Dragonfly thread it may not be possible to have my PC join up this early in the timeline ... Dragonfly is still in the future I beleive?

I'd rather wait and intro Hawk later when we get the Dragonfly thread going

I have something in mind, but would like some input.

With at in mind, here is the situation:
Around 8PM of the night before the drop, Inara left her client {Thorne} asleep and went down to the Infirmary to check on River. This was done so the new Inara player {Inaraesque} could get into posting. Which was accepted the she would soon return to Thorne's side in her shuttle.

Geezer misinterpeted that as Inara's move was in the next morning and posted as such - thus inadvertenly 'warping' the RP past the planned 'PreDrop party' that was planned. Perhaps we can shift the PDP to a Post-Drop Party?

I do not exactly disagree with this warping - so if any have any ideas or concerns, please put 'em forth.

Concerning the time error - We can fix it in 'post' {writing the RP up as a coherent story fanfic} whichever way we decide to go.

OR we could simply ask Geezer to redirect his post timing

As to Merz letting everyone know Mal is "forcing everyone to relax" it is coming in Debs and My next post - coming soon!

(note to self, notify ALL players in the virtual vicinity of creative impulses, not just the Capn)

Decoy - I need to put a bug in your ear about Rowan's sourcepad. She's too cool to type, so it doesn't have a keyboard. It's a touch-screen with a stylus and whatever form of Palm Platform-like Grafitti they have in the future. Normally, she would just use voice access, but since she doesn't want anyone to find out what she's doing - for Merz's sake - she's not using it. She could be *scribbling furiously* at the nav station, but not typing.

The Spyhopper part will be wireless, using a system of her own creation that's specifically designed to be undetectable and thus not reliant on any part of Serenity's systems. Wash shouldn't *see* her do anything on his instruments, but he'll probably get the notion that she's up to something.

FYI - it's "eaves-dropping" not "ease-dropping" Like Samwise Gamgee said, "I ain't droppin' no eaves sir!" Plus, she's now sitting in the Gunner's Chair, not the Navigation Chair. Astriana/Zoe put her there.

Finally, it's not that she doesn't trust Wash, it's that she doesn't trust anybody. She gave it up as a useless waste of time ages ago - about the time Li was killed. Incidentally, she got onto the cortex using Wash's password once. I think it was before you signed on - she used "Rex"

GREAT posts everyone!

OK, I think I have beat this old P3 back into submission and got my nifty new fib-op DSL {ditched gorram ComCast!} running.

It seems to be running and refreshing much faster. Supposedly it is 3mbps upload and 6 on the down. We shall see! AND see how long it lasts!

heh. . .this helped me quit smoking. How very odd, smoking in the RP is as good as smoking RW, yet without the unhealthy side effects, besides the paler hues my skin has undergone.

You are all too kind. No inspiration per se, I just thought I'd try something new. I can see the draw towards writing flashbacks. You get to encapsulate a complete mini-story yourself in one shot (or more for the more complicated stories). I don't think I'll keep doing it though, since I think RP should involve more interaction.

Crazyhorse, are you talking with anyone about taking over one of the crew?

Posted a placeholder for ZOE, 'til WASH has had his say (yipes!)... She'll probably have something to say her own self, (and will take notice of the ROWAN/MAL interaction, plus make conclusion re: ROWAN tryin' to hoodwink her), then head off to check on JAYNE's handiwork like MAL said.

I thought Merz had put Thorne and River in the "common area" of the Galley, but she didn't. She had put herself in the galley, listening to them in the common area belowdecks. I had to go back and reread more closely.
