Me, same every, Legend Of Hell House. One frakkin' scary haunted house flick. Then Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom, just to end the night on a lighter note.

Not sure yet but some good ol' zombie flicks might be in order. MSB's never seen 28 Days/Weeks Later so that might be on the bill.

NVG here. I liked it. A bit more violent, lacks a bit of story structure but there are people with guns which makes for a better movie.
Really, I liked it a bit more than the last.

I'm thinking of going classic, Nightmare on Elm Street followed by Hellraiser. Might throw in Audition for the creepy factor.

Then maybe a Silent Hill: Homecoming marathon, need to get those other endings...

I taped The Howling last week, so I'll be watching that. Been dying to see it for years.

Other than that, 28 Days Later. I had a nightmare about it this morning so I took it as a sign.

It does have a mask, so, yes! Definitely Halloweeny.

I usually watch "Halloween". Don't ever get tired of seeing Jamie Lee Curtis fighting back with a wire hanger.

Also, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" gets an annual watch.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Not true horror, but their showing it at a local theater (live performance included).

I might watch Land of the Dead or The Lost Boys once I get back from the showing.

Great Pumpkin is a ritual for me that must be observed. I am 32 and have seen Great Pumpkin 28 times. That would mean once a year since I was 4.

Beyond that, I thought I'd watch mad max 2. Not really a scary movie, but still super cool. Esp now that fallout 3 has been released. There is also a fan film festival on the new horror channel on direct TV "Chiller". I have a friend who submitted a survival horror zombie flick that made the Chiller semifinals but didn't make the final cut. She did, however, make it into DragonCon and was shown on Sunday at the con.

Zombie Apocalypse films are quite fashonable these days. It makes me feel like an old-timer since I prefer nukes in my post-apocalypse genra.

I'm going with The Haunting 1963 version by Robert Wise.
Then an onslaught of Carpenter starting with: Halloween, onto The Fog and rounded off nicely with The Thing. May look into trying to buy Halloween 3 on DVD too - it's surprisingly creepy.

Dog Soldiers and The Descent are worthy of an evening in too.

I would recommend the recient release of Stephen King's "The Mist", although I thought the book was better. There's some good terror-suspense sequences in the film verson along with a gore factor.

This week I watched a 2-hour piece that rated the top 100 scary films of all time. I was shocked to see 1st place go to Jaws. I figured the all time greatest would be Psycho, but it wasn't, Psycho was actually 4th. Second place went to Alien. I forget what 3rd was, but some others in the top 10 were Holloween, elm street, and Texas Chainsaw.

He,He. That's interesting. I watched it with my two best chums and Marie was literally screaming and jumping out of her seat! I've never experienced that before - she was totally filled with dread. I think you'll know which particular scene set her off, then after that her anticipation did the rest. Even now years later she talks about the night we all watched The Descent.

Well I didn't get to the thread in time to post before Halloween but we did watch some on the night.
Namely the orginal Halloween (classic Carpenter), Carrie (classic King) and Shaun Of The Dead just to finish up the night with a funny.
Next week we have the Descent (coz we have someone that's never seen it!!)

As for V For Vendetta it has become a tradition for us to watch that on every Nov 5th so guess what I'm watching this Wednesday night?

Well, I CAN'T top THAT one, dude, but I WILL be watching it again tomorrow night for sure, as sort of an Obama Victory dance (or a McCain cry of defeat, it could work both ways)!

Each time I watch it I see more and more similarities to the way my country is going. If we're not careful then it may become a very realistic movie - but that's for the other forum...
