I am SOOO tired that it looks fine ta me... got up at 5am and drove thu the snow and ice to take Cathy to a Claires Store to help reorg their inventory. Just got home... 8PM. Arrghsnooozzzzzz...

Had to goto police station to drop off pics of Cathy's injury and I think the {massive amount of expletives deleted} female shoplifter that punched Cat was siting in the lobby. AND the Detective was 'interviewing sombody'. Talk about will-power ... if I had known if it WAS her and her husband/boyfreind ... well you know.

Had to work on the car ... while turning a corner I 'kissed' a phone pole at only 6 or MPH.

However a 91 caddy (inherited this past summer...) has ALOT of mass ...

Sooo, it pushed he starboard (whoops - mil-speak, stbd=right) bumper section into the tire. Got it to the house and fixed ...

...after quite a bit of lying on a large carpet fragment and under the car. Tt was COOOOLD outside ta'day in Indy ...

Now I have the sniffles... I can now surely sympathize with Astriana when she was ill ... yesterday?

UM, what day iz it?

Funny thing about Comcast ... turned off the digital cable, but we still can watch cable thu the tuner of the VCR AND CABLE MODEM is still running ...

They musta not wanted so much to slog in the smow and just sent the shut down signal to the dig. cable box.

Teela: You did a spiffy job with the alpha post... no worries!

CapnRahn: Echinacea, Goldenseal, and Vitamin C will keep you from getting a cold (if you still only have the sniffles ~ if it's progressed further, there are ways to minimize the cold in potency and length... hehehe). No more laying on the ground in cold weather, silly!

Gorram is English. A deliberate mispronunciation of "God Damn." Ciara. Can't AIM or email from work, so...

Thorne has never met Inara, but he is familiar with Companions, having lived on the Core worlds when an Alliance officer. I am sure he would like to spend some time with a person of culture and refinement, and will say so. Besides, it'll give him a chance to get Mal's goat, since he'll quickly see how things stand between Mal and 'Nara.

Really hope either Humble can get back and be Mal or we can find a new recruit, since it's more fun for me (Thorne) to interact when I don't always know the other player's mind, and he(she) doesn't know mine.

Pardon all. Been on the phone with CapnRahn this evening. If everyone agrees, he would like me to try to run Simon for a couple of days. Since I am slated to play in PK and am new to this, he thought it would give me a bit of experience.

There is an awful lot for me to read and absorb right now, and I don't get off of work until 6:30 PM Eastern Standard. So please give me a chance to catch up a bit and see just where everyone is - I will try to post something tomorrow night.

If you have a problem with it, by all means, please let me know, but I would seriouly appreciate the chance to practice this before taking up a new game.

Boomer -

I don't think he can have the cable and the computer set up by this weekend by any stretch, but he is trying to look into temporary alternatives.

I have a really busy time a work for a week, get back and you guys are on chapter 7! Jeez... I figured that there's no way I'm going to be able to catch up, so just jump in where the action is - and boy, things have certainly heated up since my last read!

Sorry I had Rowan bolt out of there, but considering the mood Geezer's put Mal in, it really does follow character - stay ahead of dangerous times whenever possible.

Channain - Didn't mean to be a grouch. Mal was just hoping to have a nice little "Hi. My name is..." exposition to get everybody settled on board, but it looks like all the shootouts with Feds, "kill you with my brain" attempts, emergency engine shutdowns, backtalking passengers, River freakouts, and the general aroma of booze permeating the ship, are making him close in fast on the breaking point. I'm really afraid of what might happen.

It's a good character contention within Mal that he always thinks things through, and he has a basic humanity that he tries to avoid but can't... that's why he let Simon and River stay. He may huff and puff for a while, but I would hope that he lets you stay as well. It wouldn't seem like Mal if he didn't.

Hey everybody. I got a little bit bored and decided that not only would I post for CapnRahn, but for everyone else as well!

Bwahahahahahhahahaaha. *whew* No no, just kidding.

What I did do though was make a temporary map of Serenity including the crew room locales, general locales, and a couple of the passenger rooms that I (Book, he he) set up already in the story.

I thought this might help everybody jive like turkeys. Gobble gobble gobble.

Incidentally, anyone heard anything from SerenitySon? Jayne hasn't made an actual move in a couple days now.

Rowan's going to stay out of Mal's way until he cools down, or they get to New Hikido, whichever comes first. Instead of bartering her way, she could win the rest of the passage from Mal playing nine-ball. I'm thinking she would have a spare cue stick handy - her first one.

I like that even better. Sort of a one independent woman to another, even one married woman with another. Rowan's husband is MIA, but she still remembers what it was like.

Inara? How could she NOT be welcome? she and Kaylee were the ones who were nice to Rowan when she showed up. I think it would be a BLAST!!

They shut off the main access (computer switch) as per my request ... but did NOT sever the physical connection!

My firewall was reporting access violations - but I was'na connected ...

So both scenes inspired me to think of the 'static' idea.
