That sounds so wrong.

But that ain't really saying much.

I keep forgetting Orville. I liked the cast except for Seth - I hope it doesn't suffer from him and I can get past him.
Thanks to all for reminding me of these.

The Orville ... " Set 300 years in the future, the show follows the adventures of the Orville, a not-so-top-of-the-line exploratory ship in Earth's interstellar Fleet. Facing cosmic challenges from without and within, this motley crew of space explorers will boldly go where no comedic drama has gone before."
and it's on ... FOX.

Which ever Defenders series is due up next, that's what I'm looking forward to seeing.
Hadn't had time to think of anything else. I don't even remember what I was watching this time last year, and whether or not it's still running.

Maybe they coulda made the boat a little more palatial - there may have been one or 2 rooms where the entire crew might not have fit in.
I was hoping for something less sophomoric. Even a wonderful director couldn't save it.

The old man showed me the first ep of season 2 of The Boys. I'll be watching the rest of that soon.
He's also a big fan of another comic book related show called Utopia on Amazon Prime. Haven't made up my mind if I'm going to watch it yet. Tons of people get killed. Not really my bag.

Last night was something like "emergency calls" which was described as a reality show, so I wasn't highly interested. But there was nothing else on for a bit. But it was quite riveting, think like COPS but on the 911 center end.
That will likely not be shown outside America.

You really should check out Utopia, assuming you can stomach the first few episodes.
Given the subject matter, I'm actually quite surprised that they decided to release it.
Without giving any spoilers, I'd say that releasing Utopia in 2020 is akin to releasing any movie or TV show that showed the Twin Towers in the immediate aftermath of 9/11.

Here's a trailer for it.
I screened it first to make sure that it wasn't heavy on spoilers.
Although I would have shown less, there's no way that you're going to know anything that's actually going to happen by watching it first.
I liked not really knowing anything going into it though. If I were you I'd skip the trailer and just give it a shot.

They're still called TV shows dude.
I watched Utopia on my TV.
Anyone who has a Fire TV doesn't even need to use the FireStick attached to their TV.
What are you rocking over there anyway? Still got a 200 lb CRT set with rabbit ears, do ya old man?
Legacy TV is unwatchable to me. I don't do TV commercials anymore. I've seen enough of them for three lifetimes already and I don't buy any of the shit they're selling anyhow.
Anyway... You're missing out. Utopia was excellent.
Shame that Covid came out right after that though. Pax in the Vax ended up being a big plot point and I heard that the chances that season 2 were going to be made were pretty slim with all the Covid vax hesitancy.
We're long past spoiler alerts now. If you didn't want me to ruin anything you should have seen it when I told you to.

Watched the first ep its a bit crap but not as terrible as I expected, it was watchable, graphics are good it has some of that womanly, feminist court room humor and Marvel She-Hulk universe jokes but I'm not sure if I will watch much more. Seen as Joss Whedon did Feminism and Marvel so much it might have been the perfect show for his style of writing. Joss had some super powered Mary Poppins depressive superhero witchcraft series set in Victorian London, I forget what it was called but even if it was all uploaded free to dailymotion or u tube I still wouldn't watch it, the show was a tiresome bore, think of a terrible boring version of Penny Dreadful but done much worse.
I might just re-watch Mandalorian or Rick and Morty or watch a South Korean show, some Japanese, Spanish or German stuff might be ok, The Legend of Vox Machina looks good maybe that Fanatsy Dungeons and Dragons 'Critical Role' studio gives it an Indie position, Ark looks ok, Willow looks ok, might try a Docu-Drama or some Documentary, Tokyo Vice is an older one this year I missed.

Do not comare the woke trash live action bullshit to the anime.
If you're going to watch one of the many inspirations of Firefly, the Anime is the only option.
It's gorgeous too. I didn't realize that when I was watching it back in the early 2000's on Adult Swim on a 27" tube TV.

Well the cast and crew can't call you racist and sexist now. You gave it a shot, which is more than I'll ever do.
I've only ever watched 4 seasons of Comic Book TV shows in my life. 2 seasons of Jessica Jones. Two seasons of Daredevil. 1st season of Jessica Jones was excellent. Second season was meh. First season of Daredevil was double meh. Second season was entertaining. At least they were gritty though. Not a chance I'd ever give a Disney Marvel TV show a second of my time.

I saw the first 3 or so seasons of Rick and Morty. I'd started streaming it on KODI back during the first season when nobody knew what it was. I stopped watching pretty much all TV including this show somewhere before peak Rick and Morty craziness was happening, yanno... when people were getting violent over the Rick and Morty sauce at one of the fast food chains.
Did they end up ruining that show too, or did it get the run it deserved? I know that the creator came out and said a whole bunch of woke shit, but I think that he was probably just making the wrong decision and trying to apologize for stuff he had put online before he had a hit show.

The tv shows Midnight Mass, Andor, Outer Range, Unsinkable seem to be getting good hype or good reviews. Unsinkable is a war era drama, Shatter Me based on a Dystopian scifi book by an Iranian Tahereh Mafi she has lived in Spain and the USA, I'm not sure if she pushes islamist apologist propaganda but she wins awards for 'Young People's Literature.'
Maybe 2023 or 2024 who knows, I might check Gotham Knights The CW channel WB studio, Secret Invasion Disney-Marvel, The Last of Us...if Hollyweird can avoid putting messages about homosexual diverse islamism Gay Black Shemlae diversity jihadi Lesbian Transexuals into everythingt I might get past the first episode.
Amazon has gone so retarded its censored and bans people from multiple websites for giving honest and bad reviews to their dumb shows.

"Mrs. Scarlett and The Duke" is one, and "Jamestown" is the other. I only saw one episode of each, but I thought they were pretty fantastic compared to most crap I see put out these days.
Don't watch the trailer for Mrs Scarlett though. It was made by some fat pink haired weirdo feminist that hates men and puts the show in that horrible lens when it's nothing like what the trailer suggests.

tv schedule in the USA is a disaster now, you don't know what will be made soon and what will be postponed, overseas tv is far more predictable.
'3 Body Problem Problem' will probably come out in 2024 and Daredevil Born Again Season 1 is due, I'm not sure when Three Body is coming, there will probably be a number of comicbooks, video games or Scifi, Thriller, Fantasy fiction novels ready for the screen.
a Writers Strike and now an Actors Strike will impact downloads and television series
but there is South Korean tv maybe other small indie products, I might also try some German tv shows.
and this is possibly going to be one of the worst years for tv but there is X-Men ’97 and 'Succession' returns, Tokyo Vice Season 2 , Star Trek Strange New Worlds returns,
There is other stuff a Wildlfie Nature show 'The Americas' maybe history hopefully a big quality production stuff like 'Napoleon'. I will keep an eye out for Henry Cavil and Warhammer, rumors say its not the old Fanatsy stuff but the scifi dystopia the 'GrimDark' of 40K, I don't know if it will be successful, Event Horizon, Chronicles of Riddick seem to be cult hits in their own way but are they truly successful, it also has a lot of Starship Trooper 'Space Marines', John Carpenter's 'The Thing' remake or Pandorum or Akira or The Void a 2016 Canadian Lovecraftian horror film, The Black Hole (1979) and Dredd or just 2000AD comics in general. 'Warhammer' could perhaps make money on other property, it is a massive universe, I am sort of familiar with games but mostly know it from watching u tube vids and other social media channels these past months, they say it is going to be 'Eisenhorn', however it could be a success and 'Dune' has been a hit. Warhammer is a huge property but 'Eisenhorn' is a strange board game character choice to make into tv, book, a very odd video game character to try to bring to the screen. The rogue trading and oppressive ruling overlords in Warhammer does have elements similar to Firefly or Serenity but Warhammer takes it to a whole other level of darkness. I do not see any Warhammer show credited but I see Argylle in 2024 so maybe with these strikes it is delayed until 2025? I don't know if 'Eisenhorn' would be the best character to start this universe / franchise for the tv.
Warhammer might start ok and fade like 'Witcher' or it could easily be a massive flop
However the character might be interesting for universe building just as Ironman or Captain Kirk or Neo or Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow or Luke Skywalker first story helped build a cinematic universe.
The Scifi Channel or 'Syfy' did make a Dune show once, Frank Herbert's Dune a three-part science fiction television miniseries based on the 1965 novel

I'd say it's a safe bet that any US made shows coming out aren't worth investing a minute of your time in.
These were all still done before the woke writers get fired.
They will either be replaced with AI or, preferably, competent writers. Either way, it's the only way that any shows made in the USA are going to be worth watching going forward.

Hollyweirdo out of ideas is remaking the Canadian Goosebumps 1995 TV series, it does not look bad, the US show looks similar to its original and produced by Sony Pictures Television, it seems to be more adult the original was more of a children's show, on Disney+ and Hulu

Won't bother me either way. I already stopped watching 99% of anything new coming out many years before it was cool.
If they're going to continue down the woke path, they might as well have AI making it. Why pay incompetent diversity hires to ruin everything when you've got a program that can easily do that for you for free?
It's not just Hollywood that is going to be replace either. It's already happening to gaming "journalists" all over the internet, and that's just the trial run to replace all the "real" "journalists".

My brothers swear by this show. We grew up playing Castlevania games.
I tried it once about 5 years back, but wasn't in the mood and might not have even finished the 1st episode. One of my brothers is always trying to get me to watch it.
I believe he said this was a continuation of the cartoon, but I don't remember for sure.
From the little I saw, the artwork and acting were good. Even if it was based around Castlevania III and they made the curious decision not to have a fan-favorite character named Grant in the TV show.
Seriously... why wouldn't you put a pirate in your show if you had a pirate to put in your show?

Hulu and Netflix might survive the crash? Netflix still has shows, Hulu has anime Japan cartoon stuff like 'Bleach' they have a show Billions and Wrestling Entertainment while Paramount+ will still have people tune into a South Park show.
Guys like Blackrock are buying them all up but CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox might just show some kind of reality tv re-run, French and British multi national might begin to fail, some Hispanic Spanish drama soap will broadcast in the USA and be cheaply made. For some reason the Deutsche German diaspora and South Korean shows still do ok even in a downturn, Japan toons are outselling Marvel and DC.
Disney/Marvel is in a state of decay while HBO seems lost and has been buying up WB DC superhero flop products

Crunchyroll, which is an anime streaming service that I just found out was owned by Sony will probably be alright too.
I think the CEO of Cruncyroll just came out and said that they were the only profitable streaming service outside of Netflix.

I will keep an eye out for 'The Penguin' and tv version of a video game Fallout but I expect SJW Lefty Jeff Bezos, Andy Jassy weird hollywood marxist influence to destroy the show

'Alice in Borderland' watched a Season it, Japan tv but was a bit of a chore, it is good at times but it is missing a real heart. I know Squid Games from S.Korea might have been inspired by it or copied it but Squid Games was far better while 'Alice In Borderland' just seemed a bit empty, they also ruined their own ending by ridiculous writing.
German tv is ok
and for now South Korea does much better tv than Japan.
I think it is renewed, Season 2 they say maybe a Season 3 for Alice in Borderland now but I won't be watching any more

They need to get out of California, its not just the crime or economics or drugs, its the overall group hive mind cult like Commiefornia mindset. They proved you could make good film in Australia during Covid but then Aus went crazy with restriction. Go back to the era when America had other studios the beginning of film-making in Florida, normally Canada was a place you could go but Trudeau has destroyed it with politics. Parts of Texas are still good for film, some parts of illinois, West Virginia, upstate New York there must be some tax breaks when you flee California. People also seem to go to Atlanta, Georgia to make big tv shows and movies.

I was one of the OG Black Mirror fans, knowing about the original UK run long before Netflix picked it up and made it a household name in the US. But I haven't watched a single episode since the Miley Cyrus season. I didn't even watch all of them. The Miley one was good, I maybe watched one other one and then never went back to it.
My old man recently watched the newest season. He said that there were a few turds in there, but he was pleasantly surprised by the quality of a few of them.
I'm sure eventually I'll watch all of them. I just haven't really watched much TV in the last 4 or so years and Black Mirror doesn't excite me like it used to. I'm sure I'm missing some REALLY good episodes by not watching it at all anymore. It's not as if the first few UK seasons didn't have 1 or 2 duds out of those first 6 episodes. Some of the best stories I've seen in recent time came from that show. It's just a shame that it's so uneven.
If I were charged with producing it at Netflix, I'd be much more focused on Quality over Quantity. Go ahead and film 6 episodes for a season, but if 3 of them just suck after they're filmed then throw them in the trash instead of muddying the water with them.

I think tv can come back but streaming is a dominant source of tv shows, I'm not sure have a feeling they would ruin 3 Body Problem and Fallout...not sure, others worth watching? 'Creature Commandos' monsters Alan Tudyk voices 'Doctor Phosphorus'. “True Detective: Night Country” series, there could be a Dune series or Blade Runner 2099 not sure when. There is Avatar: The Last Airbender somewhat anime and kungfu influenced, by Nickelodeon Animation Studio, Avatar is set in mix of Native American, an Asian and Arctic-inspired world, there is also a Spanish Show 'Zoro' franchise coming in Spring maybe. The comicbook superhero thing is dying but Batman still sells and 'Penguin' is out in 2024 and Daredevil Born Again. “Tokyo Vice” Season 2 Not sure if any good but there are many overseas shows. There is a disaster triller 'Trigger' about gun incidents in S.Korea and also from South Korean series 'Karma' in Spring 2024, Killer Shopping Mall, the sequel to Squid Game and All Of Us Are Dead. Also they have been talking about 'War Hammer' for a long time.

Did you hear about how thousands of seasons of TV shows that users BOUGHT AND PAID FOR on Sony Playstation's streaming service are being removed because of copyrights changing and they're not being refunded their money? I believe it has something to do with Warner Bros.
They'd better figure that debacle out, because even if those people are powerless to do anything about it, they're not going to forget that it happened. A lot of them are likely to turn to piracy in the future too, and physical media will probably make somewhat of a comeback as a result as well.

So anyways I got around to watching the first ep of Patheon, its good but not great. I watched the trailer already so a lot of things were expected...Lawmower Man, Ghost in the Shell Ghosts in t he Machines, RoboCop, the Matrix, that whole Japan topic of people going between real world and virtual world moving from video games virtual reality back into the real world, that whole Disney 'Tron' thing, video gamer kids, the Master Control Program MCP, a rogue Tron artificial intelligence operating system, 'users' and people dressed as superheros and someone trapped inside Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn. Mind uploads, the brain transplanted inside computers the cyberpunk subgenre, the Body swap or Brain transplant it has been done before sometimes taking the form of digital immortality.
So what is different its is not DEI SJW Feminism, ok its high school girl but she's not beating up 7 foot muscle dudes ...yet.... She has a thing for technology, Fatehr has into tech, its a drama single mom, bullying at school, the weird emoji event happens and later there is a team up of sorts, another old kid is a computer science genius and they seem to meet on the web? , Caspian's "father" is a Dick a ball buster Hitler Stalin drill sergeant type...but its all an act to manipulate boy genius or get the kid on the inside?
A lot of arcs setting up, here seems to be a lot going on not something you would watch passively drunk or stoned.
There's some big Log-On Company Telecom AI group that can afford to build giant city sized facility inside mountains.
It's clear from the story her father is not dead maybe survives as an unknown 'name' hacks into the phones of bullies and turns them against one another. A guy from overseas arrives an Indian looking and sounding guy is supposed to be a genius works with uploading minds or “Uploaded Intelligence” he is tricked or kidnapped. Then a major DDoS attack happens,
I might continue it later
