Powers Boothe

Last night's episode ended with a message about missing our friend Powers Boothe, just before the Mutant Enemy clip.

I had not realized that he died 2 days before that.

R.I.P.

I first noticed him in A Breed Apart, and now think of his roles in Sin City and Red Dawn, among many greats.

Great actor. I remember him most from the movie 'Southern Comfort' (1981). It's about a National Guard exercise gone REALLY bad. RIP Mr Boothe.

I liked his style on screen. He really did seem unique and for that he will be missed.

Don't know much about him off screen, though it really doesn't matter now.

He won an Emmy for his portrayal of Jim Jones. I vaguely remember that. He was a great bad guy.

Don't hink I ever saw the Jim Jones work.
But years later I first noticed him in Breed Apart, as the antagonist. And then the same year he's in Red Dawn, playing a protagonist/ally, although I was suspicious of him.
Perhaps Sin City was his apex for most evil roles.
