Yay Firefly!!

My birthday was yesterday (ending all of 30 minutes ago) and my parents got me the only thing I asked for....the Firefly DVD!! I was so happy...sat there petting it for a few minutes. Then I pried the newest Wheel of Time book out of my friends hands (another gift from my parents) and petted that for a while.... I watched "Serenity" and "The Train Job" tonight with a friend...got too tired to watch anymore. I think I'll watch a few of the special features and go to sleep....
But, yay Firefly and yay to my parents for taking the (many) hints I dropped and buying it for me!!

JayTee, in case you don't know, the latest novel, "A Feast for Crows," is hitting stores November 8. And he's already halfway done with the novel after that (see his website for the bizarre details).

And Knitting Jedi, happy birthday! Glad to know it was a shiny occasion, as it should be.

Wheel of Time? God, that's just sad. While Jordan is a great writer the Wheel of Time series is so frustrating. Nothing ever gets resolved from volume to volume. My friends and I call it "The Wheel of Money". Still at least Jordan publishes new episodes frequently. I'm still waiting for George R.R. Martin's 4th book in the A Clash Of Kings novels. It's been overdue now for a couple years. I think he's got permanent writer's block or something. BTW, a belated Happy Birthday to you!
