not sure what the worst part about this is...........

A story a friend sent me: T. Bechtol, part - time City Councilman from Pensacola, Florida, was asked on a local live radio talk show the other day just what he thought of the allegations of torture of the Iraqi prisoners. His reply prompted his ejection from the studio, but a thunderous applause from the audience. "If hooking up an Iraqi prisoner's scrotum to a car's battery cables will save one American GI's life, then I have just two things to say: "Red is positive" "Black is negative" ________________ So many things about this are bad. I know a city council man isnt exactly a pillar in our government, but its enough to make a headline that one of my friends would read (and trust me, my friends dont read...you have to glue their eyelids open to get them to read news). May we all live in interesting times....

firefly character assesment?

a judge of character? I watched 'the message' earlier tonight. I'm watching 'Jaynestown' now. I asked a family member to watch the show earlier tonight. I wanted them to "weigh in on what they saw on the show". I didn't specify any episode to watch. I just wanted an opinion. So....can we judge someone by there opinion of firefly? does it say something about their character? Because I like good discussion......so please let me know what you think!

shiny new piece of software

I just managed to pick up a copy of the Dragon naturally speaking. It's a little hard to get used to, but after a little training, it can be a lot of fun. I wish I had the professional version, because then I could control my computer like on Star Trek. Now, if they can invent the holodeck, I'll be all set !! :).
