FIRST LOG EVER, PLUS A QUESTION FOR AUSTRALIAN FIREFLY AND SCI-FI FANS

Hi,

Lurker coming out of the shadows for a change. Just wanted to say how happy I am that this site exists! I am a huge Whedon fan and am ashamed to say that I didn't get hooked on Firefly until I watched the DVDs. But now I am, so all is well.

I'm from the US, currently making my way through university. Right now I'm studying abroad in Sydney, Australia and having a blast, and actually watching Firefly on TV, which I find most fabulous, despite the late-itude of its airtime. I've been here a few weeks and am dying to find some sci-fi/fantasy/comics/Whedonites, etc. I even haven't seen a comic book store in 3 weeks. So if anybody in the Sydney area knows of any good stores or events coming up, Firefly meet-ups or what not, let me know! A portion of my sanity just might be on the line.

Anyways, keep up the great site. I enjoy reading all of the messages, blogs, and fanfics on here. Best internet community ever, I must say.
