OUTSIDER LOOKING IN

Friday, July 16, 2004 12:03:51 AM

So... I graduated from University on Wednesday. The whole cap & gown thing. A nice framed degree certificate to put up on the wall once I've finished redecorating.

It's weird, you know. After three years in one place, meeting all the new people, I was walking around in a daze on Wednesday 'cause I kind of figured I wouldn't be seeing many - or any - of them again.

I remember after finishing school, we all said we would keep in touch, but after a few months it all fell apart. Haven't seen or heard from them since. And you want to know what the real killer is? I'm not entirely sure I miss them. I feel like I've moved on so much since then, and I'm sure they have too, that we probably wouldn't recognise each other if we passed on the streets.

I guess I'm just feeling a bit nostalgic, is all. Nothing lasts forver, after all. Well, you all know that, or else you wouldn't be visiting this site.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"You see... I believe that when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and a part of us remains. Go anywhere in this station when it is quiet, and just listen. After a while you will hear the echoes of all our conversations, every thought and word we've exchanged. Long after we are gone, our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit that the part of me that is going will very much miss the part of you that is staying."
