Well I'm fair certain I saw this posted here a few days ago. Don't hurt to post it again though. Our favorite film seems to be picking up all sorts of awards lately.

YAY!!!

That's fantastic. A LOT of people frequent Rotten Tomatoes, so this is pretty decent publicity.

America loves a winner!

Thanks for the post. Awards is nice!

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

Just to clarify, as the article says, the actual Golden Tomato for SciFi/Fantasy went to "Harry Potter"...that's the one awarded by RT staff I believe. What BDM won is the *viewer's choice* award for best SciFi/Fantasy, which is still a big damn good thing. :-)

Great to see the accolades, but it did kind of bum me to out to see the review they used had

'"Serenity" reunites the series creator and cast members for one last hurrah on the big screen'

I still cling to hope...

Don't give up hope. Serenity was way too cool, and DVD sales went through the roof for both that and the Firefly series.

If Fox is smart, they'll bring us some more browncoat action before it's all over with.

And EVERY dvd sale of the movie or the TV shows... is a fan who will go see the next movie! it just keeps spreading.. and that is JUST how we like it....

viral marketing indeed....

Do you really think that's likely to happen? We've said some pretty nasty things about Fox around here, and there was that whole blue gloves incident...

Plus, I don't see Joss working for Fox again. Chris Buchannan is still working for them, AFAIK, but Joss writes movie scripts, comic books and directs movies (hopefully the plural is appropriate 8-).

A Serenity TV mini-series on Sci-Fi is the fastest and bestest way to go, at this point, and I really don't see that happening. Sci Fi has a lot on it's plate right now, couple of good new shows I've got high hopes for, like Eureka! and The Dresden Files. Plus US rebroadcast of the new Dr. Who, and existing Stargate shows and Battlestar Galactica.

Yikes, all of my eggs in one basket! Maybe we can infiltrate the CW, what with all this 'viral' stuff I here talk of...

Vince
