According to ZAP2IT.COM, Nathan Fillion will be staring in a NBC comedy titled 'Alligator Point' as a fisherman in a quirky Florida town.

After reading an interesting editorial from the TV critic at SFGATE.com about the TV version of crack called "reality" shows , I'm surprised that any comedies are coming out of any network these days. Sounds like they might be trying for "Northern Exposure" set in Florida? It might be crap, but it's a gig. Good Luck Nathan. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

The name of his Fishing Boat is Serenity, His crew consists of his free spirted cousin who ran away from home ( Kaylee ) and a hard nosed hard drinking high school buddy ( Jayne ). He lives ( when not on the boat ) in a apartment above a Chinese Resturant owned by a quirky fun loving couple ( Zoe and Wash ) His neighbor on one side is a priest who is having difficultys dealing with personnal problems ( Book ) and on the other side a down on her luck pop singer who turns tricks to get by ( Inara ) Frequent customers in the resturant are the doctor whose office is next door ( Simon ) and his sister who is a former mob hitchick and is laying low ( river ) Together this crowd outwits the crazy plans of the town Mayor and the police ( who all wear blue gloves?)

Maybe I am having a very strange dream...
