...the idiot UPS guy delivered it to the wrong friggin' house last night. I think it probably ended up at a nearby neighbor's, and if they're decent they'll drop it off where it's supposed to be... but they didn't do so last night, or this morning, either. At this point, who knows if it'll ever show up.

I'll give it 'til tomorrow, and if there's still no sign, I guess I'm gonna have to order another copy... and then hope the same thing doesn't happen all over again...

and contact UPS and say it wasn't delivered
(yeah, you know it went to the neighbors, but you don't have it and they had no business sending it to the wrong place!)

Well, I'd been holding out slim hope that somehow the wrong package had been scanned and entered into the system yesterday, and that it would it be delivered today. No luck--the truck just came and went, stopping elsewhere on the street but not here.

I don't think contacting UPS is going to do much good, 'cause as far as they're concerned, they delivered it--at 6:34 pm last night, to the front door (I have the tracking #). Now, I watched the truck drive right by the house yesterday without stopping, so I know it wasn't delivered to the front door, the back door, the doggy door, or any other. They have a policy concerning LOST items, but that only applies to things still in their system, not already delivered.

I guess I'll wait 'til tomorrow and give the neighbors one more day, just to be sure, then contact the seller and tell 'em what happened. Hopefully they'll sympathize and send a replacement; if not, I'll have to order again. There was actually one other comic in the order, besides the Buffy one, so it really annoys me to think of having to spend $21 for basically $6 worth of goods...

isn't there any way to demand that UPS prove that they delivered it by showing a signature (since you know they don't have your signature)
I know they make huge mistakes all the time, but they pretend they are reliable and they hate getting bad reports made to the better business bureau...

You CAN do something. Call UPS and demand to speak to the area manager. Tell that manager what has occurred and that you want a claim filed and the money for the item.

My company ships UPS all the time. And they lose stuff ALL THE TIME.

I went to pick up issues 1 & 2 today- 2 came today and they had to order 1 'cause it sold out 3 times.
So I give 'em my card and they say it doesn't work in their card reader, so they can't sell me the comics. I had no choice; I killed 'em and left with my comics.
Okay- I got money from the ATM and left with my comics. Same difference. Off to read now.
