Y'all remember Trancers, 1 and 2? Part of a very small collection of movies I own not on dvd yet.
They were basement budget with a high cheese factor, but they were so gorram funny!

Anybody have a fondness for Jack Deth and his Long Second watch as I do?

Nope, never saw it, but I'll reply on your thread if it'll make you feel better.
What was that about anyway?
Is it netflix worthy?

Not that I don’t enjoy watching a grown man cry, but I’ve seen Trancers. It’s the ultimate B-scifi. It is actually kind of ingenious that they created a scenario built around not even having a principle actor. In fact, I think the latest Trancers has completely done away with Thomerson, the main character, and replaced him with some chick playing his daughter. It’s an ingenious and totally “B” concept.

Needleseye, Trancers was an eighties cheesefest takeoff on Blade Runner starring Tim Thomerson and Helen(Mad about you, As good as it gets)Hunt.
Cop travels in time through DNA lines to the past to stop evil invasion of 'Trancers" who will take over the world and f@*k up the future.
First one's on bad quality dvd, both are on tape, and the tape, bein' of higher quality than the dvd(!) is the way to go for now.
If you were a conscious entity in the eighties, you'll get a laugh out of 'em.

Thanks, I do feel better.

I only consider the first two really worth watching, as they were both written by the guys who produced the tv show Flash.

Important people don't do field work.

I seen them Trancers movies, and I enjoyed the concept. I even enjoyed it more when it was rehashed to make Time Trax! Long Second watch and all! Then again, they did do away with the watch fairly quickly!

The Flash, huh...Are you looking forward to The Flash (2006) with what will probably be Ryan Reynolds playing Flash. I think it could be great, but its going to be a mighty effects laden movie...probably as it should be!

Are you kidding? With the effects they can do now?
I'm not a REAL big fan of CGI, but when they're used right (like in Firefly, Galactica) it's great. And a Flash movie, now, will be AWSOME!!
