LOST is the closest thing to being interested in watching T.V. since Firefly. But for some stupid reason, I never could remember when it came on, and missed much of the orignal shows. Thankfully, it re-aired and I was religious in catching each show.....or so I thought. I somehow missed part(?) of episode 9 and all of ep 11.

The thing I'm dying most to know about is -
what the hell happened to Claire? Last I saw, her and Charlie were kidnapped or something, and then the next thing I see about them is Charlie has scars on his neck/face and Claire is presumed eaten by that mystery animal ?????

Also, I saw Sayid get knocked out when trying to find the source of the French womans's distress signal, so how'd he find end up finding her base and all those equations ?

Since the shows have been aired twice now, I doubt a 'spoiler ' post is really necessary, but do what ya think is right. I've been to a few LOST fan sites, but havne't found anything beyond the basic ep. outline.

Spoiler

Ok. Sayid tortured Sawyer to find out where he supposedly had stolen asthma medicine for blond chick. He felt so bad about what he did that he took off and landed square in the French woman's lair. She knocked him out and tied him up and demanded to know where her son was. She also said there were others on the island, and that she had killed the rest of her science excursion crew because they had all turned evil. Sayid escaped, taking those papers with him.

Jack, Kate, Locke and Boone went looking for Charlie and Claire. They split up, and Boone and Locke found some weird metal structure. Kate and Jack found Charlie, dead, hanging in a tree. Jack tried desperately to use CPR to bring Charlie back to life and failed. Just when Kate was throwing in the towel, Jack got really pissed and pounded Charlie's chest some more, at which point he revived but didn't say much. Ethan has Claire.

When he came back, Sayid mentioned there were others. All Charlie could say was all THEY wanted was her (Clair). We doubt Clair has been eaten "they" have her, whoever "they" are.

Oh and the blonde chick is Shannon, Boone's sister.

Possible spoiler, but I'm guessing here, so could be wrong.

Oh!!! I just got it, I think. My wife and I missed a couple of shows too. Sayid got knocked out by Mira Furlan (The French Woman)! And she took him back to her lair where he was all tied up! I didn't even connect the two until now, probably because I saw them out of order.

I'm with you on the confusion about Clare. I was wathcing the new epi last night and was thinking I missed something about it. Apparently, we all had to learn more background about "freckles" in another drawn out fashion. I saw Charlie on the beach by himself and thought I'd missed a bunch.
Ah well, they sure do keep you hanging on this show.
I'm finding it annoying, but it makes me want to make absolutely sure I don't miss the next show. Guess the writers know what their doing. :)

Ok, I saw here Sayid and Jack tortured Sawyer, which led to Sayid leaving the group because of what he had done. So I did miss an episode, and I'm not going crazy. That's a relief.

I didn't see Sayid w/ the French woman, nor did I see Locke find any metal structure. Hope I can catch that ep on the tube sometime. I guess I'm caught up to speed now. Sorta. - Thanks

I like how they've changed how Jack ( and the rest of us ) see 'Freckles' in light of her criminal past. Where as before I got the impression her and Jack were a 'match' , it's looking more and more like her and Sawyer are birds of a feather after all.

You can download episodes via Bit Torrent on the internet (world's biggest VCR). I don't worry about having to set the VCR anymore, or curse at myself because I forgot to set it. I won't tell where you will find it but Google search for "filetype:torrent lost hdtv".

Anyone else looking forward to this being released on DVD? I know I am!

Rumor has it that Lost may be released on DVD this year, or right before Season 2 premieres on TV.

OT: My hope one day is for Sawyer to covet something of Locke's and have a big ol' knife fight break out. Or maybe add a touch a realism and prevent the Brazilian Bikini Waxer from visiting the island for a while and have the women fight over a razor.

Not only does she look freaked out, but did you notice she did not look pregnant any more?

And what's w/

Select to view spoiler:

Walt? He definitely seems to have some sort of power that the forces on the island seem to be amplifying. I mean a second polar bear?!? His seeing the picture of a polar bear in that comic Michael tossed in the fire has led to two separate attacks on our castaways by those man eaters now. What will he think up next?

And the whole thing with fortune teller... Hmmmm.

Yeah, definetly going into the realm of paranormal activity here, what with Walt's possible powers and what's so special about the baby.

Walt's supposed situation reminds me of this book I read. It's this girl who has the power to make what she imagines real. Like she thinkgs up a dress and suddenly she's wearing it. I wonder if that's what Walt might have.

And aRG! Three more weeks of waiting...

If I hear anything about a possible release date I'll let y'alls know.

And Mal-licious, who knows what treasures I have yet to acquire? I actually got The Wire Seson 2 today, and have been making my way through Wonderfalls this week. FOX TV may suck, but Fox Productions is my boyfriend. My boyfriend that gives me free stuff without expecting anything in return, you know what I mean, and I think you do.

As to the topic of this thread, heh, the easiest way to sum up what happens from week to week on Lost is thusly:

1. Someone gets killed!!! Or not. Then someone else gets killed!!! Or not again. Someone can even be threatened by a giant CGI polar bear!!! I feel sorry for the bear.

2. Sawyer has taken someone's belongings and won't give it back!!!! Again!!! And he will get punched for it!!!! Then he'll grin that shit-eatin' grin and I love him despite his assholery status.

3. Locke, the mystical Ginsu guru, will help one of the Castaways with an emotional problem. And then knife them!!!! Or not. Mostly he just waxes philosophic, about moths, backgammon, Michaelangelo or whatever and I try to remember how cool Terry O'Quinn was on Alias and Millennium and sigh.

4. Jack will check out Kate's butt and then pretend that they actually have chemistry together. Then she'll go swimming in a thong and be mysteriously hairless.

5. Kate will continue to be annoyingly vague about her past, but by Season 3 we'll discover that she was the second shooter on the grassy knoll in Dallas. She's a good shot! It could happen!

The preceding was brought to you by boredom and time that seems to be standing still today.

So, here's my crazy theory, which kind of ties into Walt being "special":
Vincent is the polar bear. Every time that dog disappears, the polar bear shows up. I've completely convinced myself of this, but I'm ready and willing to be shot down by someone who knows the series better than I do.

I can't wait for next week - we don't get to find out what happened to Claire, but at least I get to catch one of the eps I missed. ...and Auraptor, I think this is the one you missed too.

Here are my most recent thoughts on Lost (in no particular order):

1) I agree with what one of the other posters said... Walt can fabricate things with his mind and the island seems to be amplifying that ability. Now that the comic book is gone and the only pictures he has to stimulate his imagination are the ones his father drew, will we see a sunburned penquin?

2) If Walt CAN fabricate things with his mind/desires, then wouldn't it be spooky if they find his dog's rotting body still in a kennel in a bit of plane wreckage sometime soon? Remember he was looking all over for the dog in the first episode, then the dog found him? What if he fabricated the dog...

3) Locke seems to be a healer. He healed himself. Now he provides some kind of physical or psychological healing to everyone in contact with him. What's up with that?

4) Why oh why oh why oh why oh why won't Shannon die? I was so pissed by the episode where she died. Then she didn't. Make the madness stop. Or at least have her fall in a mud puddle filled with boar urine. Give me something to hold onto, people!

And one more thing. Is EVERYONE going to get to bitch slap Boone? He is the show's favorite punching bag. Sawyer punched Boone's clock. Walt's dad punched Boone's clock. Locke laid him out. Shannon's boyfriend rang his bell. Shannon whacks him emotionally every time she opens her mouth. Boone could walk into a fist at a Buddhist monastery!

The boy needs a catcher's mask to protect that pretty face of his.

And please, will someone let Shannon die?

This is driving me nuts. Didn't we see Shannon being taken by Lostzilla and left on the rocks as a bloody mess? So why did the next ep get replayed ( or did they just go back some and show some stuff out of sequence) to where she's still alive ??? I'm on the verge of confusion here. Are we seeing new episodes yet or are they replaying old ones and interjecting new ones in between already shown eps... this is really getting hard to follow. I think they're doing this on purpose so we'll be forced to buy the DVD, which of course I'll have to do.

The part where Shannon was taken by the creature was all a hallucination/dream sequence that Boone went through after Locke left him tied up in the jungle. It was all part of Locke trying to get Boone to get over his self destructive feelings for Shannon.

The evil ABC network has been taking to airing the final scenes of Lost about 3 minutes past 9, so maybe you missed the scene where Boone comes back to the caves to find Locke to punch him one. Turns out the goo Locke put on Boone's head was actually Mystical Hallucination Peyote Goo (tm) and that Boone dreamed the whole thing.

It sucks, yeah, we know.

Vincent can't be the polar bear. Sawyer killed the first polar bear w/ the Glock he pulled off of the unconcious Fed Marshal in the pilot, remember?

OOOOOOh,ok. I guess I did somehow miss that. Thanks. Leave it to them to sneak in a Pamela Barnes Ewing moment (Dallas) where she dreams up an entire season of Bobby having died. From now on, I'm camping out in front of my t.v. from 5 minutes before the show starts 'till 5 minutes after it 'ends'. Seems its the only way I'll be to follow along.
