John Doe was a short lived sci fi series about a man who knew everything - except who he was. Unfortunately it was cancelled before John Doe's identity could be revealed. I saw a short feature on the sci fi channel that said the creators knew who John Doe really was, and they were offering a prize to the person who could correctly guess his identity. That was months ago so the competition's probably closed but i figure that someone out there must know he he was. Please help me, it's driving me mad. MAD, I say!

I loved that show. Even though the competition has probably closed, do you know if its website is still up. If so please post it.

Maybe I might be able to track John Doe's identity down on the web!

I really liked that show too. I wish that since it got cancelled that they at least told the writers earlier so that there wasn't a cliff hanger ending for the last episode of the series.

I didn't watch the show but I remember a few months ago I read something revealing his identity. I don't remember where, but it may have been at scifi.com

I just googled for it and found this page http://www.twiztv.com/news/johndoe.html

This is what I remember reading.

To tell you the truth I was hoping for something a little more creative than that. I mean it's fine, but I don't like that THAT was what the whole premise of his existense after whatever happened to him.

I can't agree with what Gail Berman said. That explanation makes no sense in the context that they were building in the story arcs.

Must find and ask one of the writers - not the bloody producer!

Shes not the producer. Shes the person that cancelled both John Doe and Firefly. But the article says that what she said was from discussions with the creators.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

John Doe was a very good series. I used to watch it right after Firefly. When Firefly got the knife in the back from Fox, I continued to watch John Doe, until of course that show got the same treatment as our beloved program.

The "average guy" thing seems very anticlimactic after the story arcs that were developing. No telling where they were going to go w/ it when & if they ever revealed John's true identity.

Yeah, the two shows fit well together. Too bad those idiots over at Fox love to cancel great shows!

I really liked this show too and was really disapointed when it got cancelled. But after working up that storyline I really don't think thats the big secret. Nope. Not a bit. Not buying it.

Well crap. What kind of reason is that?

I seem to recall my dad reading an acticle about it somewhere that revealed the secret, and he told me what it was, but i compleatly forget now.

Whatever it was, it wasn't what i just read.
