Oblique Firefly reference on the Season 1 part 2 DVD set of The Invisible Man. In the cast interview they start talking about Michael Grossman (director of Safe) and mention that he's currently working on Firefly and Miracles. Ah the mindless trivia :)

I totally agree! I really liked that show. I would really like to see a DVD, too, especially since I never saw the pilot episode.

No idea but the UK often gets TV shows on DVD before the US. No Season 2 as yet though.

IT's an awesome show, and in fact i'm downloading the second half of season one right now off of suprnova.org. I to had never seen the pilot episode unitll last week when i downloaded it. Why dont they have a box set yet? and more importantly why did they take it off of the air?

An Argentina company owns the rights to I-Man. For why, I dunno. They decided to release it first in the UK to see how it did. It didn't sell very well - because its largest audience was US, go figure - and now it's not looking likely that any more DVDs will be released.

Unless, just maybe, enough people write to them to request them...

The problem with the UK DVD release of The Invisible Man was ... it was the WRONG Invisible Man for UK audiences ... in the UK we never saw the latest incarnation (unless it was on some obscure satellite channel), and the last series we saw of that name was the David McCallum version from the late 70's or thereabouts.

So, having not seen it to decide if it wa worth watching, very few people are likely to shell out for a boxed set ...

... although having said that, Firefly wasn't seen on terrestrial TV over here either, so maybe the DVDs WILL sell once word gets out (if the series was any good)

Ack, went to suprnova.org to download it, but couldn't find it under TV shows and a search returned nothing. Could you post or msg me the specific link? I've never downloaded shows or anything b4, but if I'm not gonna get an Iman dvd, might as well!

Oh and to the UK people, Iman was great. Not incredibly scifi except for the premise, but very funnly and great buddy cop show. Much more intelligent than the normal w/ added psychological themes due to the gland.

Check under Other under TV Shows. And it's down near the bottom, alphabetical under "T" for "THE Invisible Man". (Of course.)

Not that I, or anyhone I know, would ever download tv shows. /disclaimer

I was upset as well but the Sci-Fio Channel said it was due to low ratings. But they went and canceled this series even though it was one of the best that Sci-Fi had going for it. The same is said for Farscape.

I gave up on the Sci-Fi Network simply because they have no worthwhile shows, call Stargate SG-1 an original Sci-Fi show, which it ain't because it's an original Showtime, cancel good shows like Invisible Man and Farscape.

To be fair, it wasn't that great. When it was good it was good, but when it was bad it was just plain hokey. Hobbes deserves his own spin-off show though ;)

They can call it an original series because seasons 6-8 *are* original to the SF channel.

Then, of course, there's Stargate Atlantis, which is a true SFC Original Series. Not exactly outshining SG1, but keeping pace with it nicely so far.

Let's see....Battlestar Galactica 2005 starts in January. That looks very promising. And there's the Earthsea mini. (In fact, most of SFC's minis have been at least decent.)

Its true there was a time when there was nothing worthwhile on the SFC, but I think that is past now. The future is actually looking pretty decent.

Yeah, but she's awful at budgeting. We still haven't even finished watching them.

Doyou mean special unit 2? or is special unit 5 something different? Special unit 2 was actually pretty funny from what I recall. It was an interesting mix of X-Files and Men in Black. Took place in Chicago (Chi-town) there was a gnome (or something similar) thief that was always "helping" but getting into more trouble.

Thats it - Special Unit 2! I knew it was somethin like that - I watched cos John DeLancey was in it but I have to admit I only watched a couple of episodes! yeah there was a gnome in it. I'm afraid it wasn't my cup of tea although it was amusing, but for me not for the right reasons! Each to their own though.

Special Unit 2 was funny in places but it was beyond derivative.
