Networks put the best head to head.

Nowadays Wednesdays seem a wasteland, I check the rerun channel to see if L&O, Mentalist or White Collar are on.
Monday and Tuesday are crowded for me.

Decades ago my favorite show, which my entire viewing week revolved around, was opposite some fly-by-night startups called "er" and "Mad About You" and "Friends" plus somehow a "Chicago Hope" deal. Although some of my favorite actors like Anthony Edwards, Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and Helen Hunt were remaining employed, getting money, exposure, I knew whenever I caught a glimpse of their show I was missing out on the best of broadcast.

Now I see that Izombie looks interesting, but it is on Tuesdays. If it was Wed, or Thurs before Backstrom, I would see it.

So, when some of your favorites are pitted against each other, which must you see real-time, and which can you record or wait for DVDs, or reruns?

Which are your must-see shows?

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Other than for ratings, does it really matter? Since I've never been part of the Nielsen system, what and when I watch isn't on their radar. I watch more on Hulu, Amazon, Netflix or network sites than I do when shows are broadcast.

However, if my viewing habits were recorded and made a difference, I would normally watch the following shows live:

Sunday - Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Monday - Gotham, Jane the Virgin
Tuesday - SHIELD, Person of Interest
Wednesday
Thursday - Elementary
Friday - Grimm, Hannibal (whenever it returns)

I did not fully flesh out the OP before running out of time. Did so now.

I try to remember Brooklyn 99, but the 1/2 hour throws me off often. Did you catch the puzzle from Capt Holt a few weeks ago?

Monday - Castle unless rerun, then Forever. And Scorpion when it's not too preposterous.
Tuesday - ditto. Junior Master Chef.
Thursday - Backstrom, Elementary.
Friday - Undercover Boss, Shark Tank.
Sometimes I find Mentalist on Sunday nights, other times it is not there.

Not sure where you are, but here in Texas Forever is on Tuesdays, and it's on the same network as Castle, ABC.

I haven't seen Scorpion past the second episode, but just caught the end of tonight's while channel surfing. At least they have good musical taste.

It was "Question" by Old 97s.

I catch everything online now, I don't even HAVE a set night for anything...

The Good Wife, Castle (about half the time) Forever, Scorpion, SHEILD, (also about half the time) Hubbs watches Sleepy Hollow and Agent Carter (I didn't care for it)

I even caught a few episodes of Hart of Dixie while I was sick, and it's supposed to be done this year too, which it needs to be, there just isn't anywhere else to go with it. Unplanned pregnancy?? Way to go doc (Give me a break, I was sick!)

Mentalist is done. I hear The Middle might be too. No Legend of Korra this year either...

Who knows WHAT is going on with Resurrection, or Bones.

I watched season three of Saving Hope on youtube and I half wish I didn't. (AGAIN...Pregnant with who knows who's baby? That just sounds messy and stupid! Way to Go... DOC! I'm sensing a theme here......)

I catch Person of Interest sometimes.

Dragon Masters (How to train your dragon series) comes out this spring, BUT FOR THE THIRD TIME THIS WEEK, NO HONNY-I DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY MEAN BY "THIS SPRING" fer crissakes..... Yes, I KNOW yer bored!!!

Might be why I have trouble finding Forever. Up against POI. Recently there was something opposite Castle reruns, but not there anymore.

This year seems a lot less conflicted. The networks seem to have staggered the prime time lineup, so that shows of the same style or genre are not opposing as much.

This year we are down to just IZombie, Shield, and occasionally Castle. Still watching Dragons and Crossing Lines (liked the reboot!) on Netflix, and want to see the Gilmore Girls reunion on there too. Hubbs is watching Penny Dreadful.

Haven't caught any of the new stuff as the TV is only on every great while.
Don't think that'll change any time soon.
Did you see AT&T is planning an internet cable set-up?

I have been somewhat following Second Chance, Limitless, You Me & The Apocalypse, Lucifer.

CM: Beyond Borders might not hold me much more.
Is Izombie changing gears a bit?

SHINYGOODGUY

Monday - Gotham, Lucifer
Tuesday - Brooklyn 99, The Grinder (sometimes New Girl)
Wednesday - Sports or The Voice until - Hell's Kitchen, also Modern Family, Blackish
Thursday - TBBT, sometimes Mom
Friday - I go to the movies, if not SharK Tank or sports
Saturday and Sunday it's sports or I go out into the world and visit family.

The rest of the time I catch up on: O.J. Simpson, Better Call Saul, repeat watching of Fringe Seasons 1-5. I recently started watching Sherlock Holmes, which is pretty damn good.

Special mention: Telenovela and Superstore

When you say Sherlock, are you referring to Elementary, or one of the other Sherlock shows?
What is TBBT?

Beyond Borders lamed out pretty quick.
But You Me & the Apocalypse is much better that I inferred. I think I missed early episodes, so I hope it repeats. It made me feel like it had Whedonesque connections.

Some interesting looking possibilities upcoming: Game of Silence, Containment.

I tried The Catch, but being forced through the Bimbos of Shonda pleading for Hilliary was just too much punishment. Over and over and over.

Apparently this is some Micro$haft-only deal.

That's why I have commercial free Hulu.

Watching Game of Silence trailers, it seemed like small screen copy of Sleepers. After watching the pilot, I don't see a difference, other than there is no Brad Pitt or DeNiro to carry it.
