Sounds like things really got shaken up in Trek land.

"Manny Coto will receive a promotion and become the showrunner on the UPN television series when it returns next fall for its fourth season....executive producer Brannon Braga would be taking a step back next year and letting Coto assume his duties .... Braga would still remain involved with ENTERPRISE, probably by giving episode scripts a once-over, but essentially it would be Coto's show."

Well, as even the casual viewer of a movie called "Star Trek: Generations" can tell you, Brannon Braga SUCKS, so this is a good thing. The article makes it sound like he did this of his own volition, though. Am I wrong?

I remember Manny Coto as the writer/director of this lame-a$$ movie from many years back called "Star Kid." And then I had to look him up to remember a movie (with "Firefly" alum Larry Drake) called "Dr. Giggles."

Coto's talent is questionable, but I'll take him over Braga any day of the week?

Oh what a shame It's about time

Didn't Manny Coto do Odyssey 5 too? (and a few of the S3 Enterprise eps of course)

I read the Dominic Keating interview on the BBC Cult website where he discussed this and there's been a lot of chatter on startrek.com boards about it too, but I can't find anything official yet - let's hope it's true 'cos the episodes that Manny Coto was involved in were a vast improvement! And he was involved in Odyssey 5 which was actually quite good, pity they decided to cancel it cos it had a lot of potential. Oddly enough over here in the UK they showed the episodes that went unaired stateside of Odyssey 5.
