There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I watched it all from the very beginning to the bittersweet end, and I still miss it. I hope there is a spin-off or a reunion movie one of these days.

Hey C.

Good to hear! I loved Eureka. It snuck up on me too. I really wasn't paying it much attention then I started to gel with it and the characters and Whammo! I was hooked. Sheriff Carter is an awesome character and Colin Ferguson is great in that role, as is Henry and Lupo; the interaction between all the characters is well measured and within context of the show.

Some of the science fiction is a delight too and they always have clever stories. A top show no doubt. Enjoy it my friend :D

°...Well here I am.°

Syfy postponed the new episode of Haven for tonight, and in its place they are running one of the Eureka Christmas specials. Not sure which one, but both are great and since they are not tied into the ongoing story arc of the season in which they first appeared you should be able to watch tonight without spoiling anything for the eps that come after that.

10pm Eastern/Pacific, 9pm Central/Mountain

I actually skipped last year's Christmas Special because it was out of continuity (up here we'd just gotten the midseason cliffhanger a week before Christmas), so I still have it to watch this year.

It's already queued up for my train trip this week. It'll be a mini Eureka reunion.

(Chrisisall, have you tried Warehouse 13? It has a similar tone and is in the same universe. There are a couple of crossovers --you've probably already seen Claudia's visit to Eureka.)

Warehouse 13 even had a crossover ep with Alphas, with Artie's love interest Dr. Vanessa Calder (Lindsay Wagner) appearing as a medical consultant on the latter show.

Which Christmas ep was that, "O Little Town" or "Do You See What I See"?

Always dug Eureka. I liked the over all fun feel it had, and Colin Ferguson was a big part of that.

Told a friend about Warehouse 13, and then that lead to the inevitable cross over to Eureka( Fargo and Claudia....too damn funny! ) Both shows, very fun shows to watch.

There is something to be said for marathon viewing of a show over a short period of time. Even the occasional weak episode doesn't seem so bad when you can follow it up with another good one right away. You also don't have to suffer through the weekly, monthly or near yearly delay between episodes.

It took Syfy six years to broadcast five seasons of Eureka. It took all of fourteen months for the eighteen episodes of Season Three, which included a nearly ten month break between episodes 8 and 9.

There were times when we wondered if Syfy was supporting the show at all or was attempting to sabotage it with their weird scheduling tricks. That idea was reinforced when they initially said there would be a short sixth season, maybe six episodes, in order to wrap up all the plot and character threads. Then the very next day they rescinded that and said the show would be over at the end of Season Five. Bear in mind all Season Five episodes had already been filmed at that time, although post-production was still going on. There was such a backlash from that they relented and granted them one more episode for a finale.

Watch that last episode again and you will notice several comments directed toward the DOD's decision to shut down Eureka that were obviously meant to be digs at Syfy.

Now that you mention it...

They did a fantastic job with the problems they faced then IMO.
