Are we taking bets ?

It's gotta be Sue. Not that I want it to be, just my first guess.

MINCINGBEAST

Did Joss Whedon start writing Fantastic Four?

Or is this just a desperate attempt to renew interest in an exhausted franchise?

I'll put a nickel on Sue.

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

It almost seems to not matter, with the frequency of dead people being brought back to life in comic books.

That was a serious misstep, in my opinion. If you kill a character, you need to have the courage to keep them dead. Otherwise, don't kill them.

I think few people take comic book death very seriously anymore.

I've not followed the death list of comic book heroes.

I seem to recall that Superman died ? Or did I dream that one up.

And what of Robin ? Did he die too ?

My fascination w/ comic book heroes lasted briefly, as best as I can recall, from ages 8-10 or so. I was more into 'monsters' than humanoid figures, I guess.

Anthony wins the prognostication prize: As in the world of soap operas, death in the comics frequently lack permanence. "While I will never discount that a character can come back from the dead because it is one of the staples of comic book story telling," says Marvel chief creative officer Joe Quesada. "I'm not going to tell you if (s)he will, or when (s)he will and if (s)he does, how (s)he will, but I can assure you that it's going to be very, very interesting and not what anyone expects." - 'Fantastic Four' Death Revealed! http://bit.ly/flO02P
