Seriously, looking back at Space Seed, it was striking at how different it was to any other ep. It's almost like they KNEW they'd come back narly 20 yrs later and make a movie out of it..... weird.

There are many I love for many reasons, I would have a hard time picking one from many of shows.

The one that is stuck on the unconsious reset button in my head is from Voyager: Year of Hell(1&2)

"Tell the Doctor I'll be coming back with severe burns"

That show had some cajones, man.

I'm pretty sure I started puberty a couple of years early because of Col. Deering.

Also:
Quantum Leap- the two part "The Leap Home"
Star Trek TOS- "Balance of Terror"
TNG- "All Good Things..." (that could of been a big screen movie)
Brisco County Jr.- pilot
Robotech-"Force of Arms"
Stargate SG1-"Heroes"

Speakin of... Hey Chris, remember that one series that sounded interesting; Moonlight Mile - but came with a wince-worthy price tag ?

Managed to intercept a copy on it's way to the final dump bin for 90% off, so if it's any good, I shall let you know.

PS. When stores like Best Buy and whatnot send merch back as unsellable, there's a pathway it trundles along, and the price comes down with each step - thus I have a habit of picking good stuff out of the final desperation bin, mind.

Very impressive choices there! Tribunal is very powerful and emotional. I also like Gettysburg and the others on that time-travel DVD.

The gal who helps Trent in Demon With A Glass Hand is Arlene Martel, who was also T'Pring in Trek's Amok Time.

Greetings From Earth was a decent 2-part episode mainly due to the presence of the lovely Kelly Harmon. It also did give us an introduction to the Eastern Alliance folks, and the mindless brutality of their genocide on Paradine.

Experiment In Terra was a pivotal episode for me. It had an eerie quality about it, and it was the only episode that had them possibly finding Earth. To me as a kid, it was like a parallel Earth. Other great elements of that episode are :
Melody Anderson as Brenda Maxwell
Nehemiah Persoff as the Eastern Alliance Leader
The Ship Of Lights
Edward Mulhare as the "angelic" John
Logan Ramsey as advisor to The President...he was Pro Council in Trek's Bread & Circuses
Ken Lynch as Alliance jailer...he was also in Trek (Devil In Dark).

Persoff makes an impressively maniacal speech justifying the nuclear war he's about to start.

Apollo makes a great speech about the need for strength to maintain peace.

So a bunch of great actors facing the end of their world by nuclear destruction! ....and then one side goes ahead and LAUNCHES all their stuff! That was pretty heavy back then.

As long as you wear your white uniform, you're under the protective aura of the light beings....far advanced beings with very long lifespans, but still held to the same basic laws of right and wrong as you and I. Let your uniform guide you; if the color changes back, beware, you're in trouble!

John: She can't see me Apollo. Only you can while you're under the protection of your white aura. The simple truth is I have no physical body.

Apollo: Well what do you call that (pointing to John's body)?

John: A reflection of intelligence.
