There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I'll bet you he's not as mad as Mel.

Nemesis indicated to me that he might be...

I detect a lack of Mad Max fans here.

I was gonna post earlier but then I realised that I had no idea who he was (the actor, not Max).
So is he actually playing Max? A possible Max? Your own thought on who should play him? If have to say that I haven't followed any rumours/stories on a new film much coz they usually turn into nothing.

As for your original point then YES I can see that he has the right look. In that photo has kind of an intense stare that would suit Max.

He played Shinzon in Star Trek Nemesis.
As far as I can tell, they're using him.
I'll do some more spadework on that though.

There are a lot of rumors swirling on this one. The only thing that seems sure at this point is Hardy - though there are conflicting reports on who he will play.

I wasn't impressed with him in that shitty Trek movie, but he's gotten raves for his role in Bronson (for which he packed on a LOT of muscle), so I'm at least curious.

Thankyou kindly, now I recognize him.
And yeah it does appear that the movie is going places. I'm glad it appears to be a sequel as well and not a reboot.

Granted. But when that's all you have to go on, t's all you have to go on.

I have seen him in a few other things - Band of Brothers and Rockenrolla - but in small roles, so it's hard to get a feel.

You have NO GORRAM idea how friggin' sick I am of the whole reboot mentality. Hulk? Okay. Batman? Yeah. But now it's like an epidemic.

Based on his decent performance in the pathetically directed & poorly written Nemesis, I think he's be great as Max.

No kidding. I thought it was brilliant when they did it with Batman and Bond. Made complete sense to do it with Trek, too - from a business standpoint. But now it's just become automatic, and it's pissing me off.

If I had money I'd buy/make a real one. This is one of, if not THE coolest 'must have' cars ever.
Shiny just doesn't seem good enough.

In the 80's I bought a '79 Ford Mustang (alas, not the GT) just so I could make it look sorta like Max's car.

I put on the same headlight covers later.
What an obsession.

BLUESUNCOMPANYMAN

Hey Chris,

Throughout 2008 & 2009 I had continued to read that Frank Miller was intending to make Fury Road as an Anime, mostly because he did not want Mel's involvement but could settle on nobody to play the role.

Just an fyi. I wasn't pleased reading those postings cause this is a medium unsuited for an anime imo.
