Think of a bunch ghetto trailer park kids who are suddenly given Superpower. This is a new British tv series about cartoon super heroes but they are far from cartoonish or heroic. Its a series that mixes suspense, drama, comedy and gritty realism. The show follows a group of young offenders who end up doing community service for minor crimes.
Very raunchy, violent story about a bunch of social out casts.

Couple of clips have been on youtube

Anyone see it yet?

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I tried watching it but it was too painful. Terrible acting, IMO. No competition at all for Doctor Who, Torchwood, Being Human, etc.

Channel 4 has announced that the first series of Misfits is arriving on DVD from 28th December.

The show airs on E4 in the UK every Thursday night and although still having a few weeks left to go of its run, is jumping on the Christmas bandwagon in order to make some tasty Christmas profit.

The DVD will arrive once all of them have been shown, as you would expect, and will run for 271 minutes across two discs.

I don't know, I thought they were quite realistic portrayals of the socially retarded post-teens sloping up and down our local high street.

Or am I just being horribly middle class?

It's interesting, but yes, it will have to go some way to beat Being Human.

CALHOUN

It is painful to watch at times..

It brings the funny sometimes though. The guy(dunno names yet)having sex with young hot babe who turns into a granny mid deed made me laugh.

It has its moments, just not sure if those moments will be enough to keep me tuned.

He has a funny "cum" face... hahahhaha

Why would you WANT to watch that, though?

I don't know. I guess theres an element of wanting some kind of redeeming feature to consider next time I get abused by one of them at the bus stop. It's hard to live life beleiving that a large part of the population are nothing but air theives. TV is good at giving us an 'in' - if a show can humanise kids of different social classes and sartorial tribes then its probably a good thing.

Also, apart from shameless and the royle family everything on tv is so middle class and achingly aspirational or its about every thing thats wrong with not being relentlessly middleclass and aspirational. This might show I bit of people from lower classes being human and not just underpriviledged, or it may not.

Plus I can't wait for that mouthy attention seeking brat to get his arse kicked. He probably has some kind of mental issue but hell so do I and I try to reign in my wazzock tendencies.

EDIT - 'pologies, I appear to have started my own private little class war - shameful generalisations. *slaps wrists*
