Oh yeah. I loved KOTOR, the morality system in the game gave me an epiphany, and I've always loved moral dilemmas anyway.

Never really played KOTOR II, but definitely I'm a fan of the gameplay and system.

Story was excellent.

Never played the second one, but the first was pretty amazing.

I love choices.

Loved both. One has a classic star wars story, which is good, but i especially enjoyed the dark story of kotor2. Kreia was such an interesting character.

I liked KotOR better than the sequel (different developer, if memory serves), but both were solid games w/ memorable characters.

Both games are CRPGs, tho', not MMORPGs (e.g., World of Warcraft, EVE Online, etc.).

If you liked KotOR, you may want to check out some of BioWare's other RPGs, like the Baldur's Gate series, Mass Effect, and the recently released Dragon Age: Origins (which features voices from Claudia Black, Kate Mulgrew and Tim Curry).

There is an upcoming Star Wars MMORPG made by the developers of Knights of the Old Republic (BioWare): http://www.swtor.com/

When I first played KotOR, I called my cousin and told him "They finally made the game we've been waiting for since 1977." Awesome.

I find the sequel to be very uneven, which is no surprise, since LFL ruhed the production company to release it before it was complete. The beginning, I think, is as strong as KotOR, and the middle is better (more stoy depth--each planet becomes practically a game in it's own right). Where things fall apart is in the "final act", which Obsidian was unable to complete as planned and just sort of threw together. Very unfortunately, since it could possibly have been one of the best video games ever made, if successfully implemented.

I've played 2 of the games that BioWare released after KotOR. JADE EMPIRE was a lot of fun, and although it's martial arts fantasy, the overall story is VERY reminiscent of a Star Wars tale. I won't spoil too much her, but there are lost monastic orders with special abilities, gangsters, political intrigue centered around an evil empire with a special order of warriors who have supernatural powers, and even a villain who is kept alive by his armor.

MASS EFFECT is similarly Star Wars-y in feel at times, although it a darker universe, focusing on military action rather than Jedi and scoundrels. Still, the characters you recruit would be right at home fighting the Clone Wars, and the Gith robots are, in my mind, somewhat reminscent of the Star Forge. With MASS EFFECT, as with JADE EMPIRE, you can lmost see the Star Wars structure behind it.

I heartily recommend all four of them to Star Wars fans. And, although I generally avoid MMOs like the plague, I'm soooooo looking forward to BioWare's upcoming OLD REPUBLIC game.

Rogue Squadron the games or the books? Either way, I agree. :)
