Quote:Comic fans who have been hoping for a Silver Surfer titles will be disappointed to hear that there are at present no plans at Marvel do give the character his own monthly title.
Interest in a Silver Surfer comic has been an issue since he featured in the critically acclaimed Silver Surfer: Requiem and In Thy Name.
In a recent interview for Comic Book Resources Marvel Editor Joe Quesada confirmed that there are no plans for the character at present.
“While you’ll be seeing the Surfer surfacing from time to time in various Marvel titles, there are no current plans for an ongoing.
“This doesn’t mean that you won’t see one, it just means you won’t see one any time in the immediate future.
“The Surfer is a tough character and he’s had trouble sustaining a monthly ongoing, so we’d like to wait until we have just the right concept before testing the waters again.”
