I recently bought season 5, loved it, then got season 1, loved it, and now I'm plowing throught season 2, and am

wait for it

loving it.

My question is, I've read things about seasons 3 & 4 that suggest to me that I might do better not getting them.
Like, how many times am I supposed to buy Sloan getting out of prison to head ANOTHER agency... is Vaughn's marrage just a plot device, or is he really stupid enough to marry a bad guy... are the stand-alone eps in season 4 any good when I've become acustomed to arc-driven seasons... ?

I'm thinking by the end of season 2, I should just stop there while I've already seen the best Alias has to offer.
Thoughts, my peeps?

Thanks in advance.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Season Three had its ups and downs, mostly downs, and I stopped watching Season Four after the first episode. I can't recommend them, but if you find them real cheap...

Season 4 is the weakest, the plot devices that you mention become convoluted and they stray from the relationships and focus more on individual character development. Season five brings the relationships back on track, especially the one between Sydney and her father Jack and of course, Sydney and Vaughn, at the end:)

You could always rent season four.

I found season five to be most entertaining & satisfying, and, having seen season one & most of two, incredibly "loose end tying."

Did you see season five? I thought it was very neat, Drew Goddard was one of the writers.

I only watched the series finale. It did not tempt me to go back and watch what I had missed.

When did you go retarded?

Skipping a good, if uneven season, to jump to the far-and-away worst.....?

Bad move.

I'm thinking that 1, 2, & 5 might be all I watch for now then. There's no where to go but down, eh? At it's best, it was better than Dark Angel.

I still personally think 3 is a good season. Gets bogged a bit with it's love triangle, but is still a great spy show. And season 3 wraps up some dangling plot threads. And you'll be missing some Irena (who is entirely absent from season 4).

This lists her as being the last 2 eps of season #4, and not at ALL in season #3!
Is this in error?

Okay Story, a little research shows that Derevko is indeed, NOT in season 3. Are you confusing the two seasons? Is it 4 that's the good one & 3 that's actually the worst???

Well, I guess I was wrong about Irena.

But season 3 is still far better than 4. Season 4 is the one where they try and reboot the season 1 dynamic - everyone happily working in the same office again, with Sloan as the boss - except this time, he's really on the Government payroll. Which, given what Sloan is responsible for at that point, it just became very hard to watch everyone getting along (even if Syd does throw a tantrum or two about the situation). And they ditch all long-running plots, cliffhangers, and anything Rambaldi-related (untill the two-parter that wraps the season.... which is when Irena shows up and they go full-bore back into Rambaldi and his big plot).

Oh crap, that's bullshit. Sloan is wanted dead by too many. Thanks for warning me off it, dude!
(Is MY hate for Sloan showing?)
I may get season 3 then, thanks.

I've been doing STUPID online research just now- I will get season 3 definitely. Season four is a probable no at this point. Even with Sonia Bragga as a guest villainess.

A little, however it doesn't take away too much for me. I like seein' how it plays out. Remember, I started with season five. But the "reset button" set in four that I read of and that you reinforced in your posts seems just a little too BS-y for my taste.
Still, the most fun I've had watching a series since Firefly.

Okay, final evaluation: The last season was the best one IMO. No surprise here, I liked the final season of Buffy best as well.
Wrap-us are cool.

I'd still rank season 5 after 1-3, but then, I watched them in order. And you're weird.
