Likes to mess with stuffs.

To be honest, I haven't watched 'Heroes' all that much this season, so I can't say whether or not it merits coming back more than 'Chuck,' which I have seen. Let's hope that NBC brings it back next season, even if it's for half a season.

Anyway, NBC announced their fall schedule. 'Heroes' return as well as 'Southland,' which I also like.

One story on www.zap2it.com says we'll have to wait until May 19 to learn it's fate. So far NBC has newed everything but "Chuck" and "My name is Earl", which may move to FOX.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Chuck deserves a full season order. Heroes deserves nothing.

I've been a big supporter of Heroes from the beginning. The first season, though it had some flaws was excellent. But the finale was weak. Then the strike-shortened Season 2. Started weak and got suckier as time went on. Season 3 started a bit better, started to suck, got better again and then the finale . . . weak, weak, weak. At this point I don't care much what happens. The 4th Season will need to have major storyline improvements for me to care much anymore. The only reason I'll still watch is to see what happens to Hiro, but I won't expect much from it other than that. Hiro has remained one of the great characters. He's willing to sacrifice everything, even his own health to embody what it means to be a true hero.

Select to view spoiler:

The final episodes of this season saw Hiro starting to suffer severe headaches and bleeding from his ears and nose whenever he used his power. And it's because he's the only one who really cares about being a hero that I'll keep watching. The actor made me genuinely concerned for Hiro's health

What REALLY sucks is that Brian Fuller's other magnificent series, "Pushing Daisies" was canceled. His return to "Heroes" was supposed to give it the boost it so desperately needed. But it didn't.

worst part about all of this is that they cancelled 'Life' which was easily, IMO, the best show since our lil' lady took flight...

I hate NBC.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I watch both, but enjoy Chuck far more of the two. I'd rather have Chuck back and Heroes cancelled honestly.

Oh "Chuck" is so great - its funny, and it has a real emotional core. Does everything have to be so depressing these days?

I'm a "Chuck" fan. Never watched Heroes, so I can not comment on that show. I just know that I enjoyed every episode of "Chuck" and would like to see him back at Buy More.

I really hope 'Chuck' comes back for a full season (or 2....or 3). It's a unique well written show AND has Adam Baldwin....what more could you ask for?? I haven't seen all of season 2's episodes yet, but I did see a clip from the episode 'vs the Sensi'(sp) and loved the 'shout out' to Firefly - "you are damaging my calm, Chuck" - as well as the refrences to Spies Like Us -"Doctor, doctor, doctor, doctor..." - and Quantum Leap - "Oh boy"- in the later episodes. I signed up on nbc.com's discussion boards to join the fans save 'Chuck' movement.

A week and day (hopefully less) before we learn the fate of "Chuck". I'm gettin' nervous. Why won't they just announce it already?

I know, I wish they'd just tell us now if it's renewed or not. I really really hope it is.
I was just reading your blog entry and Pushing Dasies was one of my favorites too, but I'd lost track of it for a while after the writers strike.
I too think that Adam Baldwin 'deserves to have a steady job' for a loooong time. I love watching him in the background of scenes when he doesn't have lines. His reactions and just the character things he does are fabulous. He's really under rated, isn't he?

May 19th seems to be the date that the major networks announce their fall lineup. Read that "Castle", Nathan's show, won't know if it's coming back for a second season until May 19th either.

I'm just saying that Chuck was their golden child last season (Season 1). It was getting great reviews and it had a lot of viewers. Then (and I'll say this 'til my face turns blue) that stupid writer's strike hit and many people's interests turned elsewhere. Just like ShinyVera said she liked Pushing Daisies but lost track of it after the strike. The same thing happened here. Instead of standing behind one of their stronger shows that certainly didn't weaken in quality after the strike, they hem and haw about it. It drives me crazy.

I'm with ya. I *loved* the first season - it was unlike anything out there. It felt like they knew exactly what they were doing, and where it was headed. Ever since then, though, it's felt like the writers have no idea where they're going, or where they're trying to end up. It just feels like they're bouncing around aimlessly with not overall sense of story and no "big picture" of the season-long story arcs or the grander "great arc" of the entire series.

With Buffy and Angel - and Firefly in its foreshortened time - you might not have had any idea where Joss was taking you, but you had a definite feeling that HE KNEW where he was going. I don't get that at all with Heroes anymore. It feels like they're writing the episodes based entirely on feedback from focus groups watching last week's episode!
