Keep the Shiny side up

I have to say I enjoyed "Castle". Nathan had the Mal attitude working big time and it seemed to fit pretty well with the Castle character. It'll be interesting to see if they can maintain the story if later episodes aren't based on folk copycatting murders from Castle's books.

BTW, Summer, on "Big Bang Theory", had to be the resident geeks wet dream. Even got a Firefly mention in.

If it weren't for Nathan I wouldn't give it a second glance. That said, it's not bad for what it is, and Nathan really sells it (female lead's not bad either - not her fault she didn't used to be on a show we like to call...Firefly). I reckon I'll keep watching it, especially since there's nothing else really competing for my attention in that time slot. In some ways it seems like a waste of a perfectly good Nathan, but then I guess that's his look-out.

Re Summer on TBBT: When is seeing Summer not fun?

It was like "Ooh - there's Summer!" when we got here!

CELLARDOOR

So good tonight! I...didn't guess the killer. But

Select to view spoiler:

Castle didn't either

so that makes me feel better. I didn't know what I thought of his daughter last week, but I thought she was fantastic this week and their interaction was priceless! Nice that we're getting a bit more info on why Beckett is the way she is.

I hope Nathan Fillion has a keeper show this time, though one that lets him make a few cameos on the side of course. ;) Did anyone else turn on the TV early enough to see that he was in the audience for "Dancing with the Stars" right beforehand? That was a cool little appearance.

SINGATE

The banter between those two is great. Her line about preferring mystery to horror was an absolute gem. This show is very well written.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Actually enjoyed this episode more than the premiere. Castle's mom still grates on my nerves, but I think the show just flowed better this episode. And the twists on the killer threw me completely off until the end.

We Tivo'd it and haven't seen it yet... I really liked the first one so that's good:)
