America loves a winner!

Of all the sub plots and off shoots to the main story, ( stories ) , not once, that I can recall, have we seen anyone trying to find a possible cure for our love bird's delima.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I have to assume it's because Ned has never thought a cure was possible. All he knows is what he has observed of his own ability. It's possible there is someone else who has the power to negate Ned's ability, but how would Ned go about that search without revealing his own ability?

Well, maybe Arther Petrelli can... wait, he's dead. Never mind.

Thanks for the Heroes spoiler!

As far as the question goes, Ned has clearly stated his worst fear is being held in a lab and slowly dissected piece by piece. He doesn't want anyone to know about his gift and I think he's quite sensible in that. I don't think he'd even consider trying to find a cure if it meant risking becoming a lab rat.

Do you really think Heroes is smart enough to kill anyone? My money says the Dad of the Year is not dead.

As for PD, I don't think it's crossed Ned's mind. Perhaps now that the latest alive-again person is around he'll start considering the possibility. Not that we'll ever know. Sigh. I want to see this series play out its story. I want to see Gina as Emerson's wife. I want him to meet his daughter. I want to see Lily and Vivian be truthful and mad and reconcile. I want to see Olive find a boyfriend that doesn't get cast in a play during strike season so he cant return. There's a lot I want to see from this show.

I apologize if I inadvertently spoiled Heroes for you. I didn't even think about that while busy trying to be humorously off topic.

I suspect that That Weird Girl is correct, however. Evidence suggests that Arther can't possibly be dead, as no one ever dies except Jessica. I mean Niki. Crap! I mean...

I've still got a pile of Heroes episodes waiting to be watched but yes, they do tend to die quite a lot then return. We've seen fatal wounds inflicted on pretty much every Hero with the exceptions of Mohinder, Elle and Mr Muggles.

Just watched the latest Pushing Daisies and am even more vexed that they've pulled the plug. Actually, no, that's not too surprising. What vexes me is why people stopped watching it - it did have a good 15m people tuning in at the start and while it's natural to have some slippage, the ratings are down to a fifth of that. Do people not like good television anymore?

*sigh*

Still, there has been word that they've re-edited the final episode:

There was very little advertising when the second season returned. No one knew it was on during election season. I know not everyone watches the debates and the very biased coverage of said debates, but why was PD repeatedly put up against televised election events?

Would it have killed them to air the first season again to remind people what a great show it is? Would it have been so terrible to run a few ads before the week leading into the start of season 2? It was very poorly promoted. It boggles the mind when shows with major critic praise and Emmy noms is canceled.

Important people don't do field work.

The cancellation news is having an odd effect on me. Whenever I watch this show now I get angry. I used to laugh and clap and bounce when I watched Pushing Daisies (except for the flashback openings...those kinda got on my nerves.) Now, I'm just sad and frustrated. Even when watching season one. I haven't been this bothered by a show cancellation since Firefly. (I was in Korea when Wonderfalls came out, so I wasn't watching when it was on.) This isn't like other shows I got on DVD that I knew had a limited run. I don't get mad about that. This show had the most potential of any show I've seen in the last five years. And, if season two was any indication, the show was going to live up to its potential in spades. The Office is the only show I can think of besides Pushing Daisies that continues to get better exponentially as it goes on.

Heroes continues on to my utter astonishment, Gossip Girl is still on the air, and reality TV continues to be a thorn in my side, but the most visually lush, well acted, intelligent, and funniest show I've seen in recent or long term memory is now dead. This bums me out more that the cancellation of Veronica Mars.

And I loved Veronica.

sorry to veer this thread back off topic back to heroes, but i kinda thought that poppa P. should be un-killable( like Claire ) having taken Adam Monroe's Powers and all.

The only one i can not see coming back in any way/shape/form, save a flash back, is Adam Monroe, having dusted like a buffy vamp and all...

anyhow i now return you to your regularly scheduled discussion.
