Say goodbye to the SGA story, the show was a spin off from Stargate-SG1.
SGA stood on its own feet, stargate explorers found a lost technological city dealing with invasions of Wraith and Asurans with good performances from actors like Joe Flanigan, David Hewlett, Rachel Luttrell and many guest stars from film and guests from Trek. Word out there is it has been shutdown. The show is over so say goodbye to anymore guest stars and goodbye to Jewel Staite as Dr. Jennifer Keller who landed herself a fulltime role in the series.

Another blunder for the channel IMO but there are many examples
Why didn't scifi pick up Jericho for 2009? What goes through Skiffy's TPTB heads?
for example why did they cancel Farscape back in the day ?

With SGA over

The 2009-2010 line up for Skiffy looks dreadful, cash or capture gameshows, caprica, ghosthunters, estate of panic, outer space astronauts, and sanctuary. All these over-funded shitfests will probably be canceled after a few episodes just like Painkiller Jane and Flash Gordon.

Don't let Skiffy stink up the airwaves just flush it like a stinky Flush Gordon

The show was not cancelled by SciFi. MGM cancelled it. The show was getting good enough ratings to probably be picked up, the problem was MGM not making enough money selling it to SciFi.

I thought Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer was no more ever since Sony Corp bought them out in 2005, from what I've read Sci Fi Channel was the big player here and less enthusiastic about the series. Skiffy knows series like GhostHunters do get higher ratings

From what I remember Farscape was cancelled due to the cost of making the show not low ratings.

Like you, I am wondering what in the hell SciFi will be airing next year. Other than Eureka I am hard pressed to think of any other regular series they will be airing. Both Stargates will be gone, and from what I understand Torchwood will have an abbreviated season while Dr. Who will be on a prolonged hiatus.

They'll probably fill their airwaves with more of their "original" movies. All of which are utterly unwatchable, and laughable in their attempted use of CGI.
