There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

This Thursday night, July 10, beginning at 7pm Eastern, the Sci-Fi Channel will air four episodes of Jeremiah, a Showtime series from 2002 that was created by J. Michael Straczynski of Babylon 5 fame.

Lately they have been pulling various series after just an episode or two if they didn't think the ratings were good enough. The last victim was Charlie Jade, two eps then banished to 3am Tuesday mornings. Other shows like Odyssey 5 weren't seen again for months until they showed up on one of their weekday marathons. I don't want this to happen to Jeremiah.

It is a post-apocalyptic story, set several years after a plague killed the majority of the population, the survivors being those who at that time had yet to reach puberty. It stars Luke Perry and Malcolm-Jamal Warner, with supporting roles from the likes of Sean Astin (LotR), and Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer and Kandyse McClure.

I figured I had to do something since SFC is doing no promotion themselves, at least none that I have seen.

Great show, definitely one to see. Keep an eye out for most of Stargate SG-1's standing sets.

Sean Astin's character ("Mr. Smith") doesn't turn up 'til season 2, though (but he may be the greatest character Astin has ever played).

Watching Jeremiah now and am very pleased and happy I have. Lots of good ideas and lots of good characters. Who knew something this good was around?

After watching Jeremiah, I too was impressed. This show has a great plot and a lot of interesting characters. Why didn`t the SFC promote this show? If you have 4 hours free on thursdays between 7:00-11:00pm do watch this show, if not then record it. You will not be disappointed.

good bible

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I enjoyed it. I remember seeing the ads for the show back when it originally aired on Showtime, but not having Showtime I wasn't able to watch.

Glad Sci Fi is showing it. Hope they keep running it.

I just checked Netflix, and both seasons are available to Watch Instantly - while only season 1 is available on DVD. Interesting! I don't think I have seen that before.
