I like that it still airs, but I've owned the DVD's for years now, and I love 'em dearly....keep goin' back and forth about season two, then I read where Jessica hated the direction the second one took, so I'm back to bein' rude (excludin' eps)

For a good while now I've been into fan edited versions of films. There are some really good ones out there. The type of editing ranges from inserting deleted scenes from the DVDs to full blown re-editing of the whole movie(s).
For example, I've just seen an edit of Spider-Man 3 that is now quite watchable. The action gets going a lot quicker, there are no musical numbers and all of the Disco Pete stuff is gone - so no campy dance routines. It's still not as good as the other two but it doesn't fail now.
The Star Wars prequels have been heavily hit with Jar Jar either having his voice modulated to be unrecognizable and then subtitles added to make him appear more rogue-ish and then having all his stupid moments cut. Plus a lot of Mannequin Skywalkers whining has been trimmed to make the films a lot more bearable. There are lots of other changes as well. Again still not perfection but better than the original prequel releases.

Anyway back on topic, seeing your list made me wonder what some of these peeps could do with DA season 2. Whether they could remove some of the superfluous stuff and tighten the plot to make a 12/13 episode shorter season. It would take work but if you see what these guys do it wouldn't be impossible.

BTW I'm not suggesting that this actually be undertaken, just curious about what others think and whether you have seen any fan edits yourselves.

With the right equipment, I'm sure I could do a lot with the second season...the core of the shows was usually Max & Logan- it would be trimming, mostly. But the list I made works pretty well- although there are some very shiny moments you'd miss in certain other eps, it up to the individual whether they can stomach the dog & flea jokes, the Gill Girl, the Buffy rip-off ep, etc.

I always wonder if most actors have even watched their own shows, I'm thinking that Jessica has been told so many times that the 2nd season sucked that she has come to believe it...
I didn't think it was that bad....
I felt that there were some interesting points being made about society and it was leading up to what would have been an exciting 3rd season.

I'm sorry we never got any of that third season!

Oh, it wasn't bad at all...it just wasn't consistently BRILLIANT and touching like the first season. More action, more latex, less inner searching and more outer conflict. Still a good show, but somewhat watered down, with a more simplistic big bad, hence my list.
