Wow. This mission just got a heck of a lot more impossibler.

EDIT: Spoilers!

So, the humans are responsible for the attack? This just turns the BSG world upside-down. Oh, and the Six/Biers/Baltar threeway was kind of a surprise...

MURPH

Good ep. I liked all of the twists. But what was with the Biers dream zone between death and download? I didn't quite catch what was going on.

Let's Moon 'em...

I like the original this new one not so much. The special effects are really good. Its not a problem that it is on. I just can't figure why firefly would cancelled and other shows make it.

I like smacken em

ARCADIA

This episode. Overall, it was good. This season has been incredibly solid, and at eight episodes in that is nothing to laugh at.

There were some parts of this episode I really liked. Adama and Tigh were excellent, as was Roslin. Carl Lumbly did great as Bulldog. I have really embraced the idea that Adama was given command of the Galactica is disgrace (though not especially public disgrace) as it makes sense to me. I have always wondered why Adama was on Galactica when he is clearly so awesome, and Galactica is on a one-way stop to museam-hood. Well, now I know, and its a good answer.

The only thing wrong with it is the timing. Only a year on Galactica pre-attacks? This notion fraks with my head. I am trying to either come to terms with it or ignore it. *sigh* Normally, I am the first to say "hey, give the producers a break; timing is hard" but... a year? It just doesn't make sense.

I have some issues with individual storyline pacing right now, but I'll give the show a few episodes to sort them out. Mostly because I am a huge Starbuck fan, I find her instantly redeemed post-Torn stuff perplexing, but I guess the next episode might have some answers for me. I also find the mis-handling of the various Sharons odd, since Athena especially tends to disappear for episodes at a time, but... oh, well, I guess I'll have to live with it. Lee, as well, could use more screentime.

Arcadia (aka Greyfable and/or Katie)

I completely agree that things aren't being very well balanced at the moment. Lee and Starbuck were both in this episode but neither had very important roles. Also, we haven't really gotten to see how the fleet in general is getting along, how people are adjusting to being back aboard ships in space, they haven't dealt with supply issues since the first season (espicially since they all left New Caprica in such a hurry they couldn't have brought along all that much food), and they haven't really touched on Athena's baby much since the cylons nabbed her.

You know I was thinking the same thing last night as well. I remember in the first season when The President and Baltar were going over what it would take to keep the fleet fed. I also seem to remember them running low on alcohol and making their own and all of a sudden they have plenty of the good stuff again.

I also think that the pacing is a little off this year but maybe that is because they have too many storylines going on. Don't get me wrong I still love the show and they do someting to blow my mind almost every week. I just hope that they decide what direction they want to take soon.

A very welcome one to Mister Grizwald, who immediately sat straight up in his chair with a leer. He's kind of a horny old thing, is Mister Grizwald.

CYBERSNARK

What's this "Biers" thing; wasn't she being called D'anna last week?

Anyhow, I liked it, though I agree with the need for more Sharon. Everyone else's disappearances, I can handle, I just figure they're off doing job stuff or off-duty, but I can't see Athena having much of a "normal" life. Good to see that Tigh is still hanging on, though. Be interesting to see where he's gonna end up.

Anybody else wanna slug Bulldog for calling Galactica an "old bucket?" Feeling a little Kaylee-esque pride, here.

As for Adama's only being on Galactica a year before the invasion, it can kinda fit. Assume that he brought much of his command staff with him from the Valkyrie, and that Galactica's pre-existing crew would've known him as the living legend he is (and also as a last gasp of greatness, seeing how the writing was on the wall for Galactica) --plus how quickly he'd bond with the crew as a fellow pilot, as opposed to some flag-officer appointee who never got his hands dirty (note how welcome he was in the flight deck in the miniseries; like he's down there regularly). Given his age, it's possible he served on a similar Battlestar early in his career (we've seen three generations now; the old-model Galactica, the newer Valkyrie, and the Pegasus, which was apparently state-of-the-art).
