If there are any, then I'm missing where. But I don't understand how both FIREFLY and WONDERFALLS , two excellent shows , both get canned before their 1st season is up, and they get DVDs while John Doe doesn't. At least JD aired to its season / series finale. Hell, I bet there's a DVD out even for Fastlane!

I missed last nights episode, and that has me a bit bummed. I caught every episode when it originally aired, over 3 years ago. With so much crap out there being put on DVD, seems to me that someone would find the time to put JD on DVD. I bought FF and WF's DVDs ..why can't I buy JD ?

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

Screw it. I went blindly into the world of e-bay and found a seller. I rarely use e-bay, this is probably the 2nd or 3rd time in the last 5 years. It wasn't too expensive, even a bit cheap, for the whole season. Even if I get gyped, and it's a crappy product..... I'm not out too much.

I was hoping that by now they'd have pieced together a real DVD box set, from the studios. Oh well.

*sigh*

I'm still waiting for a DVD set of The Inside. Never got to see it, but I heard it's one of the bloodiest shows ever allowed on TV and that it had a heckuva good plot to go with.

Plus, it has JAYNE.

But thus far, no green light for DVDs. Gorrammit.

Yeah, and it has Kate Finneran ( Wonderfalls ) on it too. I thought it was pretty damn good, myself. About as good as Bones. And yeah, it was a bit dark, at times. But good stuff. Sigh indeed.

I hate to say it, but this is kinda why I don't watch TV. Aside from the commercials, of course.

See, it never fails that the one show I like, the one that I'll actually look for each week instead of only tuning in indifferently between the movies I'm much more likely to watch, is the one show that'll be cancelled with no warning.

If I'd been watching Firefly when it got canned...I'd have thrown someone a beating. It would have just been parr for the course, but I think I'd have taken it much harder. I've come to believe that if it's a good enough show (cancelled or no), they'll eventually make a DVD set out of it and I'll watch it then.

Better that way anyway -- no commercials, watch at your leisure, no waiting for next week, all that good stuff.

Another Tim Minear show to get the axe from Fox, they just love him over there.

From wikipedia:
Minear plans on releasing all 13 episodes of the original run, plus the Jump Street pilot, plus another pilot which was shot without Minear's supervision and was panned by FOX execs, on a DVD in 2006.

John Doe indeed has was canned - 3 years ago. It was a F*X show which aired following FIREFLY on Fri nites. When FIREFLY got canned and replaced w/ Fastlane , John Doe continued through out the 1st season and ended w/ a whopper of a finale. Sadly as it was the series finale as well. Thanks to the folks at SciFi for bringing back this fine show so folks can get a 2nd chance to enjoy it.

Its a damn shame, that cliff hanger would have been the pivotal point in the whole story, if they had any sense they should of given the show another series at least.
