While incredibly imperfect, I really liked it, similar to the way I liked the first season of Lois and Clark (which I own). Cheese be damned, I'm gonna get it!

Who's with me?

I have the pilot on VHS.

I really liked the show too. Providing the price isn't an arm and a leg... I will most likely get it.

Is $40-$45 too much?

Yeah, I'll probably get it.

I find I'm more likely to get a single-season show that I kinda liked on DVD, than a multi-season show I really like.

One season of The Flash (a show I liked) for $50. Sure. Seven seasons of Deep Space 9 (a show I loved) at $90 each? Nuh-uh.

I can't even think of starting on the Simpsons.

Actually, the first few seasons of Simpsons are selling for way cheaper now (1st season like $20 at walmart.) What is this Flash you speak of?

I give to you the Seeker of Serenity, the Valkyrie Warrior, the Gourmet Cook and the Truth Scoper.

Same here.

The Star Trek, or even Babylon 5 at $120.00 Can. per season is WAY too much for a show I thought was ok. That what they are selling for here. Now if I REALLY liked them... who am i kidding, that's still too much.

I liked Barry's lab assistant. He is a funny guy. See him in Becker?

Yeah, and I do have 1 season of the simpsons already, but they're on their 16th season currently, so it's quite the commitment to make.

And The Flash was a short-lived 90's show based on the comic book about the guy in red tights who runs real damned fast. Starred John Westley-Shipp (Dawson's dad from Dawson's Creek) and Amanda Pays (who was on Max Headroom). And Mark Hammill has a 2 episode guest shot as the Trickster (a very Joker-esque villain he played just before getting the job as the voice of the Joker on the Batman cartoon).

There was also a guest appearance by a pre-Seaquest Jonathan Brandis.

I used to love that show, but I probably won't get the DVDs. I've become more a fan of the Wally West Flash. (the comics plus my imagination tend to be as good or better than any TV show).

I thought Shipp brought a welcome sense of humour to an otherwise ho-hum character...

On a DC-related note, is Lois And Clark, season 2 worth getting also? It'll be coming out around the same time, and the first season was really fun on dvd. I recall the second being okay too, then it turned to silly, senseless crud, or so I remember it.

Hmmm, it sounds interesting. I might do the renting thing first to see if I like it.

I give to you the Seeker of Serenity, the Valkyrie Warrior, the Gourmet Cook and the Truth Scoper.

Danny Elfman did the theme, that there's enough to recommend it...

If you liked Lois and Clark, I'd say just buy it, the $40 price is right.

Cisall, right behind ya! This is going on my wishlist. I loved this show when it was on.

Two of the Flash's creators wrote the first two 'Trancer' movies that starred Tim Thomerson- remember those?
