I've not taken the time to research myself, but wasn't there a Pegasus in the old BSG series too? I remember they found another BS, and her commander was Adama's superior, a legendary military leader. (Wasn't it Lloyd Bridges who played the role ? )

Anyway, a couple of things didn't make sense...

Why was there such a attitde from the crew of the Pegasus? It's almost as though they didn't realize that all humanity had been wiped out, except them. And now the rest of the fleet along w/the Galactica. Meeting up should have been a major morale booster, but it seems to have been anything but. There seemed to be an almost cold war air of rivalry between the Pegasus toward the Galactica. I get the friendly in fleet competition that goes between crews, but this was way over the top.

Adama was the sole Galactica commander on the one remaing ship, untill Pegasus showed up. Why wasn't Adama elevated by the Madame President to Sec of Defense ? Or some such... I mean, she IS the President, it seems like there's some way she could have stepped in and put an end to this power struggle nonsense before it got out of control. Like it seems to have done.

Yeah, it was a powerful season finale'. ( A finale' in September?)

I think that is exactly what will happen before or after the Admiral's XO defies her orders to fire on BSG

Possible plot questions for the "new" season:

1: Prez Roslin relieves Admiral Cain of her command? Things happened so fast, she may not have heard about Cain's "meddling" with the Galactica's crew.

2: Has anybody noticed that the Pegasus is one of the "newer" Battlestars, meaning that it has the easily infiltrated (By Cylon viruses) shipwide networks amongst other things? Would they have had an easy time protecting the systems?

Remember-Adama never allowed the computer systems to be updated/networked on the Galactica-That is what saved it in the attack on the colonies.

3: How did they figure out that the "Six" on the Pegasus was a Cylon?

I'm sure there will be more questions........

"My days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle."

Well, Roslin when Cain first showed up there was no reason for Roslin to elevate Adama, after all Cain is Adama's superior Roslin can't just promote him because she likes him better. By the time Adama was willing to use force against the Pegasus it wouldn't have mattered what Roslin did anyway since Cain didn't recognize the Presidents authority earlier and certainly wouldn't have when she had problems with Adama.

Sorry if that doesn't make a lot of sense right now, I'm tired.

I guess I could have done a better job in making the point per Pres Roslin and Commander Adama. Before Pegasus showed up, there was all this fuss over 'preserving the order of the Colonies' and such. We had a President, a V.Prez, and so on. W/ Adama, he was in command of the last (known) Battlestar of the fleet. Hell, Galactica WAS the fleet now, so it seems to me that while all were concerned about crossing the T's and dotting the I's while setting up this Gov't on the run, woudln't it have made sense to promote SOMEONE to Supreme Military Commander? Even if the title was one of Interim status? From their perspective, Galactica now was the fleet's flagship, if by no other reason than one of default.

I'm thinking Mdm. President will grant a pardon to the Cheif and Helo. She doesn't seem the type of gal to look kindly upon the rape of enemy prisoners.
That Admiral is eeevil.

Yeah well, once Cain is off'ed, everything will be back to "normal"... What about this thing with Lee and Dualla, was that odd to have that scene just inserted in there? didn't make any sense at all.

Listen to Ron Moore's podcast director's commentary for the episode. It explains a lot. On the Season 2 DVDs they will have a special extended version with an extra 15 minutes.

They are trying to set up a Billy/Dualla/Apollo love-triangle. Last season I thought Starbuck and Apollo would hook up, but it seems that since Starbuck has a new love interest on Caprica, they have to find someone for Apollo. I don't like it, Dualla and Billy are too cute together to mess it up.

Dare I say one of the most intense season finales ever. One of the highlights was when that guy from the Pegasus called Apollo a daddy's boy. And where was the president in all of this. When we seen how they were torturing and raping the cylon it was wierd because you actually felt bad and cared about these characters. There is a force more evil than the Cylons and it is the Pegasus. I can't wait to see what happens.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Didn't make much sense to me either. It just seemed to come out of left field. Not sure if that is something they are going to build on or not.

The Lee / Dualla thing is easy to explain.

1. These are both good looking, intelligent, sexy people
2. There are less than 50,000 odd folks to meet around humanity. That's barely a decent sized berg.
3. Galactica is a small town and there's not a lot of interaction with other ships. So, basically the crew is stuck in a very small down.
3. These folks work very, very, very long hours under some tremendous stress. They are going to bond with each other despite any regs to the contrary.
4. If you have ever sparred with a gorgeous guy or gal of the sexual gender you prefer you'd know that sweating and physical contact tends to make you ... errr .... I'll be in my bunk.
