WICKEDLESTER

HI, My names wicked Lester. I just signed up with you guys, and i thought i'd introduce myself. I'm 18, live in michigan, and am going to join the army as soon as i'm not quite so fat.
I loved firefly from the first time The Train Job aired. I watched it loyally through the baseball and reshedualling, and was sad when it was cancelled. After firefly, i went to enterprise,(What i still think is the second best sci-fi show out there, and the best of all treks.)I spent a lot of time at trektoday.com, and watched as trekdom started to self-destruct bit by bit. those people never made any sense. " We hate enterprise because they took four days to get to the Klingons instead of (X amount of days it was supposed to take)and because of that, we're not going to watch the show." Trek people over there seem bitter and divided, and are so argumentive of little things. I stayed, not knowing of a better place. BUt then i found a link to here, and i noticed a difference. People here are warm and kind, supportive and freindly. I liked it here better, even though i'd forgotten most of the show by that point.(It'd been a while since i'd seen it.) BUt then i found it. It was at the bottom of the rack, dusty and dented, scratched and faded. And i knew i was going to buy it the minute i saw it. I brought the DVD set home and my family watched it for three days straight, singing " Take my love, take my land" as we went about our day. I'd come home.
Trek will always have a special place in my geek-heart, but i think i've found someone else.

Welcome, Les. I believe you'll find the "bathroom" is in that little cupboard over there, under the sink. It folds out, see?

Is it just me or have we never seen a bathroom on Star Trek? Seems like all those aliens have to "go" somewhere...

Maybe I'm just spoiled because we saw one of Serenity's "bathrooms" in the first episode.

In Star Trek they're all too high and mighty with poles stuck their pigu to go to the toilet.

I could be wrong, but on Nextgen the only head on the ship, was just off the bridge.

According to the "official" deck plans, yes. How silly. Whereas Babylon 5 had at least one conversation held at a urinal, and Farscape had more bodily fluids than every other series combined, sci-fi or otherwise.

GUNRUNNER

Starfleet uses an old navy technology that dates back to US Submarines in the first Word War, a bucket that could be dumped overboard when convenient. Why do you think the Enterprise-D needed a thousand plus crew and bunch of transporter rooms? They used a bucket brigade at the end of every watch!

Actually, we do see a bathroom several times in Trek.

1. Neelix takes a bath in Caretaker.

2. B'Ellana Torres uses the sonic shower in a Voyager episode.

3. Trip and T'Pol shower together in T'Pol's dream in Damage.

So you think the baths and showers are also used as toilets?

we also saw the bath tub in Troi's quarters( that doesn;t look like it's spelled right) - TNG - in the episode where there was some kinda weird mutant virus on the ship that was causing every one to de-volve, and she become this amphibian thingy.......

...May have been the losing side, Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Nope. I meant bathroom as in a room with a bath in it.

ROBINHOOD

Heh, Star Trek with bathrooms, can you imagine it?

PICARD: Mr Wharf you have the bridge. I am about to use the lavatorial systems on deck C to expel any waste products my body may have accumulated over the past 24 hours. Ensure that the inertia damping systems in that area are set to full power.

WHARF: Yes sir, I shall also divert power from the aft shields to set the Tachyon field extraction fans to 100% efficiency.

PICARD: Make it so.

Then again, maybe they never need to go at all. They always seem pretty full of it to me

Yep ......................... that went well!
