Well, it appears to have happened - Tim Minear's more or less announced that Fox is unlikely to buy any more episodes after this season, and may not even finish out all the episodes. It is STILL ON THE AIR, but once again, Fox has gotten us!

here's the Official Serenity thread:

um.viewtopic&t=14875&start=0

and here's the direct theinside.org thread with Tim's post:

Let's see...'Die, Fox, die!' - is that how it goes?

Fox

(By the by, DANG that simultaneous posting of two threads :)

The show had some serious problems. The characters undefined. and they did not use the rest of the cast. Which is what was a turn off.

They had CSI level effects which was good. It was needed since we are talking about serial killers and their victims. But they did not work to make us want to know more about how these folks deal with life.

No the Inside had some nice ideas but the casting was off and the show needed a team mentality rather than forumla they gave us.

It may have just needed more time. Unfortunately it seems if a show isn't a breakout hit in the first two episodes it's pretty much over.

Personally, I liked it more each week and am disappointed to see it cancelled.

I wasn't in love with it and if Tim wasn't the man behing it; I wouldn't have even watched it. But I think had the potential to grow into something compelling. Maybe these last three eps will give us some idea of how the show might have evolved. Either way it now enters the Tim Minear Wing of the DVD Hall of Cancelled shows.
I sure hope this filled his contract with Fox.

OK! Sounds as though a 2 hour pilot would have laid the ground work for who all the characters are. Unfortunately, FOX does seem to believe in airing pilots (Which was a major downfall of FIREFLY)

Remember what LOUIS VUITTON said: "It's in the bag baby!"

I tried to watch several episodes but it really kinda sucked... IMO Fox didn't screw up a good show, they are killing a bad one
