Thanks to Novagrass for the info.

According to Zap2It's daily TV rating report, FOX's two new series topped the 18 to 49 demographics with a 3.6, beating out all the other major television networks.

Of the two new FOX series, John Doe topped the list with a 6.0/11 while Firefly earned a 4.1/8, which tied with a repeat of NBC's Providence.

It's interesting to note that my wife, while not a big fan of Sci-Fi TV, found John Doe more appealing, which may explain John Doe's ability to win the evening ratings war. "John Doe is a series that's more accessible to the general public than Firefly," she said. "It's easier to keep up with what's going on."

My wife, by the way, falls in the 25 to 30 age range, in case some network marketer is wondering. And definately spends more money than a teenage boy for sure--I should know...sigh.

psst...don't tell her what I said.

Argh. I can't stand that show. It sounded like a good Friday lineup, and I was looking forward to it. And it would be a good show if only John Doe would shut up. It's like the narration is just there to insult my intelligence. "I see in black and white, but I see that girl in color." Yes, John. We can see that. It's right on the screen.

I wound up walking out halfway through, even though I still like the idea.

Don't worry. I haven't told her, and for the low, low price of $1,000 dollars I'll keep it that way.
